3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
26th March 2011
Cloudy amber beer, little white head. Softish palate, semi dry. Creamy malt, rich and flavoursome with a little caramel - but not too sweet. Whisper of citrus. Finishes semi dry with a little hop bitterness. Very nice smooth tripel.

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Pours with a medium white head. Orangy-brown in color. A somewhat thick, syrup-like substance. Starts off sweet and fruity and ends with some bitterness. Feels hot down the throat, as usual with a tripel. I liked how a curious mix of sweet bitterness stayed in my mouth for a while after drinking. A very nice beer!

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Big vast white head changes very slowly into a somewhat thick lacing on top of a hazy yellow colored beer.
Smell hops, lemon, flowers, yeast, some fruit and something like vanilla.
Taste hops, citrus, lemon, medium bitter, marzepin, flowers, yeast, some light soap, some herbs, a touch of sweetness but disappears quickly with the nice bitter tones overtaking it. There’s a light stingy touch but it’s so well driven to the back of the taste/beer because of the floral hop aroma’s. Nicely done.
Aftertaste is hops, citrus, grass, lemon, some malts and hay.
Medium carbo, soft light tingly/spicy mouthfeel, medium to lightly fuller body and a light water more creamy texture.
Nicely balanced, better than a lot of other tripels and a good choice of ingredients. I like the floral touch this beer has.
