3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
UPDATED: MAR 7, 2013 300 ml bottle, poured into a tulip glass. ABV 8.5%
Deep orange colour on the body, a bit hazy. Nice two fingers tall snow white head, average retetnion, with a good lacing left behind.
Aroma is fruity, with peach notes, some yeast and light alcohol smell.
Very nice taste, a bit sweet at first, again with peach notes and a bit of bubblegum, turns to a nice hoppy bitterness straight away. Alcohol also traceablr on the taste, actually helps the bitterness to be even more pronounced.
Full body, average carbonation, quite dry on the palate.
I hadn’t had this for a long time and I surely don’t remember it to be that good, but yeah, this beer is a solid one.

Bottle@Home. Malty and light herbal aroma. Golden, off-white head, good lace. Sweet, bitter, herbal, malty. Medium and dry body. Flavourful, going very much in the Westmalle direction.

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
33cl bottle at a random bar in Siracusa, Sicilia. Golden with a one finger white head and average retention. The aroma is rather grainy with pale malt and just a hint of Belgian yeast. The flavor has pale malt, grain, grassy hops, and a mild Belgian note. A little weak on the mouthfeel with medium body and average carbonation. Not very good for the style overall. A welcome break from crappy macro lagers though.

On tap at Arendsnest on 5 April 2011. Clear gold colour. A rather sweet Tripel with just touch of spice. Slightly raw malt feel with some vanilla and estery fruit notes. Drinkable enough but didn’t really grab me.
