22-jan-2011. 50cl bottle at beer tasting. Cloudy golden beer with poor head. Pretty strong sweet aroma, this was the OK part of the beer. The flavour is way too bitter IMO, and also too drying (in the mouth). The aftertaste was pretty long, but after two seconds the bitterness hit me again full strength. Not really my cup of tea.

Golden, a bit murky, colour. Good head. Smells sweet and hops. Sour and mouldy first sip. Quite nice mouth feeling, fizzy. Aroma develops to more sweet after getting more used to the beer. Good, but not spot on.

hade en diskret doft med en aning lacknafta. Smaken var besk, gräsig, obalanserad och spritig. Nja ingen höjdare direkt.

on tap at in de wildeman...pours a mostly clear golden brown. with a fluffy white head... aroma is sweet with a light grassiness, some yeast, and a generally pervading sweetness...flavors are sweet and grainy with grass and a pale earthiness. a bit of spice on the backend.

Hazy golden beer with no visible carbonation. Yet a good texture. Surprising amount of hops and bitterness for a dubble. Aroma of grass, dough, some citrus, spices. Not expecting a complex, dry beer like this from the Texel Triple, but very nice. (33 cl bottle bought at Texel)

Bottle 75 cl. Pours a hazy orange with a medium white head and an aroma of malts, dry hops and yeast. The taste isn’t really sweet, the hops are more detectable than the malts. There’s some fruity sweetness and spices to be found in here too. Nothing special, but Holland is not really the home of tripels.

On tap at Arendsnest 8/26/09: Hazy bright golden pour has a small froth of creamy off-white head. Aroma of floral soapy notes and lightly sweet pale malt. Starts with average fullness and some light malty sweetness with some grainy character and earthy bitter presence before a drier bittersweet finish with a touch of diacetyl. An ok tripel, but could be sweeter and more yeasty.

Bottle 30 cl from Van Erp Dranken in Groningen (NL). Amber veiled with unrefined foam. Fruity fragance. Notes hopped and cottage cheese. On the palate, it is consistent with a dominant bitterness. Aftertaste in lack of sharpness, long, but without refinement, a little raw.
