From tap. Pours hazy yellow with a diminished white head. Yeasty and spiced aroma with a light hoppy note. Light spiced and caramelish dry malty. Shows a nice phenolic yeast note on the back of the nose and a dry spice note into the finish. Smooth, dry and nice.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 oh6gdx (18799) - Vasa, FINLAND - JAN 6, 2007
Bottled. Hazy orange/golden colour with mediumsized head, which becomes a thin layer quite quickly. The layer stays until end though. Aroma is orange, with some caramel and earth in it. Flavour is caramel, medicine, grass and yeast. The yeast gets stronger in the aftertaste, along with fruity sweetness, making the aftertaste slightly weird, and I’m not sure if it’s in a good or bad way. Overall a quite nice beer.

UPDATED: FEB 21, 2007 Bottled at Monk’s Café, Stockholm. Cloudy golden, small head. Orange nose with some dust. Sweet dense malt lies underneath blanket of of grassy dusty hops that dris out the beer. Medium bodied. A solid, interesting, well balanced beer reminiscent of a crossing between Einbecker Urbock and a Belgian tripel.
