UPDATED: JUL 5, 2004 however it is called a witbier, you should compare it to the germanstyle weissbier, and than it's a very good example, i however prefer the belgiumstyle whites. The taste is very heavy and malty, not so refreshing, the dark white beer of this brewery is better

jerohen (1963) - Bussum, NETHERLANDS - FEB 24, 2003
The label says: "This Natural Weizenbier is not filtered and still contains a little bit of yeast." Little bit of yeast?! Trails of yeast are swimming around in this beer making it very hazy. Yellow/orange colour, medium head, thin lacing. Very yeasty nose. Typical witbier taste, refreshing, but very watery. Short bitter finish.

DanielBrown (3629) - Birmingham (via Leicester), West Midlands, ENGLAND - SEP 13, 2004
Bottle from the Offie, Leicester. Slightly orangey Wit - some rose quality and a thick, sweet malt feeling inside the wheat wrapping. Lacks the citric punch that the best examples have. Hazy orange colour, small head, smells honeyish.

sayravai (4667) - Helsinki, FINLAND - SEP 4, 2010
(Bottled) Hazy golden with a small, firm and lacy head. Dry, wheaty aroma with not much spiciness or fruit present, but slight notes of acidity. Flavor is wheaty-malty with some sourness and acidity, plus minimal citric fruitiness. Light to medium body, fizzy carbonation. A simple, dry and clean Wit. 3233

Quack-Duck (7522) - Down South, GERMANY - JUL 30, 2010
bottle, Danke Bierkoning! Cloudy pale yellow, large white head. Fruity-wheaty nose. Light-bodied, wheaty and yeasty with a shy fruitiness. The description states that it is a German style Hefeweizen, brewed accrding to the Reinheitsgebot. Not as fruity as many German/Bavarian beers of the style, nevertheless a good summer beer.
