GABF 2015. Multiple pours. Pours a golden orange appearance with an off-white head. Thereís a ton of pineapple, passion fruit, guava, and grapefruit. Dank as balls. Some pine. Resin. Little booze detectable. Great!

10 oz at Hops and Pie. Guys, this is the way to make a DIPA. The aroma is complex, deep and all about the hops. Alcohol is expertly masked. The explosive nose has notes of grapefruit, weed, pine, oranges, mango, it just seems endless. Palate is slick and not totally dry, but on the drier end of this styleís spectrum. Huge hop flavor entertains the taste buds with the appropriate amount of bitterness. All those aromas come to life in the mouth. This is one of the best executed and most drinkable Iíve had in the style.

Draft sample at the brewery. Cloudy yellow color with a firm, off-white head and sheet lacing. Huge pungent aroma of dank hops and pink grapefruit. Very full mouthfeel. Good bitterness but not overpowering and it keeps the citrus notes. Thatís a big IPA, done very well.

Draft at Thai Me Up, served in a goblet/tulip footed glass. Pours a hazy gold color with an off-white head that settles into a thick ring and lasts. Lots of fruits in this one - pineapple, melon, citrus zest - along with pine, florals, sweet malts, herbs, and some hop oils. Medium-bodied, with medium carbonation and a bitter, resinous, juicy mouthfeel. So good. No individual component dominates, it just all comes together so well. Not as much onion diesel, but this could fool people for a Toppling Goliath or Vermont-made DIPA. Truly outstanding.

Had this at Hop & Vine the Sunday after the finish of CBC 2015. Such an amazing hop bomb with lots of tropical flavors and a really smooth body.

Draft pour 12 oz pour at brouwers cafe. Pours a clear light gold color with a ton of lace. Sitting next to the Melvin brewer, Iíll do my best to keep this an honest rating. Okay heís not looking. Even though he would probably be cool with this rating. Hop forward aroma. Creamy body with some citrus and grain. Hop bitter finish. Tasty imperial IPA... sorry quadruple pale here. Ass kicker. Tasty stuff.

Lots of fantastic hops with tons of citrus and lemon peel on the back end. Pretty balanced for this high of alcohol content. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap at Apex. Pours light amber with a modest beige head and a cheesy hop aroma. There is a full-bodied caramel malt flavor with lots of bitterness. Very tasty.

Clear light golden with a tight white sticky head. Basic but aromatic piney and slightly grapefruity nose. Big flavorful hop tone with some resinous bitterness with nice piney/leafy/orange rind flavors throughout, a bit of fresh floral hops and bitterness to finish. A world class ipa for sure but it colors inside the lines. Dank and bitter west coast IPA with balancing floral/citric sweetness.
