355ml can from Pine Delicatessies, Seattle, WA. Pours orange with a thick foamy white head. Aroma of fresh citrusy hops, pine, resin, grass, tropical fruits and hints of biscuity malts. Taste is super hoppy, citrusy, piney and resinous with some biscuity malts, herbal notes, grass and fruits. Finish is crisp hoppy, piney and grassy with some herbal notes and caramel. Pretty hoppy IPA.

Purchased at College Liquors in Grand Junction, CO; enjoyed on a gorgeous Saturday afternoon after a long hike while on vacation in Fruita, CO. I don't think I've ever had a beer from Wyoming, so this is a first. Appearance is an amber gold with a robust slightly off white head. Aroma is rich with pungent hops, in a fantastic way. Taste is really good, one of the better IPA's I've had in a while, whole cone hops shine through with a light citrus and crisp finish. Great IPA.

Can. Head is initially average sized, frothy, white, mostly diminishing. Body is light amber. Aroma is lightly to moderately malty (caramel, grain), lightly to moderately hoppy (melon, apricot), with notes of plastic, taffy. Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, moderately bitter, slightly unclean/plastic. Medium body, watery/oily texture, lively carbonation, lightly to moderately alcoholic. Pretty much an aromatic repeat of MPA and 2x4, this one has the same hop character and same plastic-taffy off notes, as well as the slick/oily mouthfeel as the latter. Not very good.

Can. Aroma blends apricot and sugar cookies above a base of orange marmalade--sweet. Honey-heavy, biscuity malts deftly balance the gentle dank was and orange pulp quality of the hops. Finishes with bitterness below medium and a lingering OJ tang. Clean, dank and sweet.

12 oz. can shared by Prufrockstar - thanks again, Chris! So exciting to see some Melvin stuff in packaging after a really great experience at the brewpub last year. Pours a barely cloudy orange gold with a finger of white head that takes a while to settle into some lace and a sloppy ring. Notes of grapefruit citrus, melon, pale and sweet malts, grass, leaves, and a hint of pine. Medium-bodied, with moderate carbonation and a zesty, balanced mouthfeel. Seems like a classic West Coast IPA, indeed. I expected a *little* more out of it after becoming such a fanboy, but this is a good go-to canned IPA.

Bomber from Albertsons. Cloudy amber body with thick, fluffy head. Malty aroma, tastes even better, smooth toffee malts, and just minor hop bitterness. Well balanced and super tasty.

Cans. Canít pull a whole lot off of the aroma. Mild citrus fruitiness. Flavor is possibly the best IPA that Iíve ever had. Rich and deep passion fruit, mango, tropical fruits. Just the right blend of malts to give this a candy sweetness. Phenomenal.

Can thanks to prufrockstar - nose is mosaic and slight paint thinner. Sip adds the same as the nose. Balanced and has a bitter finish.

Can (12 oz) at home. From kcherney, thanks! Clear golden-amber with a small white head, decent retention, leaving some lacing. Aroma is of floral hops, quite fruity as well with mild spiciness, bread and a bit of resin. Taste is moderately sweet with lots of floral presence and fruitiness, bready malt, a bit of resin and moderate bitterness. Medium body. Medium carbonation. A bit oily mouthfeel. Fruity finish. I prefer my IPA a tiny bit dryer but itís pretty well balanced and easy drinking nonetheless. Tasty IPA.

Can. Grapefruit citrus hop aroma with notes of tropical fruit and pine. Pours golden colored with one finger of white head with excellent retention and some lacing. Starts grapefruit citrus flavor and acidity with a bit of tropical fruit as well. Finishes dry with pine resiny bitterness joining the party but not destroying the palate. An excellent IPA.
