Red/orange colour, like grapefruit juice. Sweet and sour, very fruity but dry and bitter finish.

Cask handpull, The Lime Kilns, on the A5, nowhere, LE/CV borders, 14/01/13. Umbongo orange with no head. Appletise (oops, nearly the A-word there), almond, mouldering lawn, hum of wasp, slight tannic aroma. Sourish, mildly tannic with calamine, marzipan and nasty cocktail hints. Somewhat rough and boozy. Drying finish. Not for me.

Draught at Montagu Pyke, London. Strange (nice) dark orange colour. Powerfull apple aroma and flavor. Very dry. Fresh and barnyard notes. Long finish. Oily palate. Great cider.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 Benjii (3049) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - OCT 6, 2011
On cask at the Sir John Moore in Glasgow. Pours a cloudy orange colour, reminiscent of Australian Fanta, with a lacy white head. Aroma of oranges, apples and orange sherbet. Similar orange and apple flavours. Very low carbonation with a dry finish and a soapy orange rind linger. Just OK.

Cask at The Wenlock Arms - Aug 20 2011. Really does pour a reddish hue, not much head - 4/5 for the unique colour. Aroma is pleasing, in a funky acidic way - apple with citrus or underripe mango, lemon tartness - taste follows, more lemon and ripe "red" apple, appleskin, maybe a hint of grapeskin. Fairly thick body, quite acidic, mild carbonation, and a longish sour/acidic finish, didn’t have a lot of "apple" character in the aftertaste. It grew on me.

Cask. The Last Plantagenet, Leicester. No head, orange. Apples, watery. Bittersweet, with a long bitter finish. Not one of my favourites.

Cask. A red cider - like Mette’s former hair color. The aroma is dominated by apples, but also with a light note of vinegar. The flavor is sweet and is dominated by apples, leading to a tart finish.
3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 Oakes (10941) - Savusavu, FIJI ISLANDS - SEP 6, 2010
Pinkish-red colour and cloudy. Bright apple aroma. Fruity, with lots of apple skin, providing a light tannin balance. Juicy, and has a relatively sweet finish. Quite complex.

Take-away cup, in Cheddar. Distinct color, red-orange. Ripe papaya flesh/ blood orange punch color. Smells like more than just apple. Has berries and pears too. Sweet, flat, and juicy. Tastes more like a hard punch than a cider. Playful, fun, and fruity. Mild and smooth.

Crazy orange hazy coloured body with a white head - really neat! Strong nose of fruits, sour lemons and a touch of apples. Light-bodied; Nice mellow carbonation with a lot of sour fruit flavours, a touch of malt and some good sweetness. Aftertaste shows very nicely with sour flavours and yeast noticeable, but a good final complexity shows well too. Overall, a nice and neat beer to even see! I sampled this pint on cask at Wenlock Arms in London, England on 13-December-2008.
