muddled Apple character. Not getting much oak. More of a mushy wet forest. Okay.

Another nice one from Thatcher. Bit in the sweetness with some apples and sugar in the aroma. Not refreshing but quite delicious. Enjoyed it surprisngly much after not drinking any ciders for a longer time.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
The guys of Thatchers really do know how to create a interesting bottle. The cider has got a deep golden colour with no head and medium body. Nose of ripe apples. Taste of light dry but very intense apples, light caramel and vanilla. Light thin and quite dry finish. Not too sugarysweet. I enjoyed this one a lot.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
500ml bottle bought at CitiSuper in New Town Plaza, Shatin.
Clear amber colour; Very thin head and residual white foam which fades in 20 seconds; Minimal lacing with fizzy carbonation; Pleasantly tart and woody aroma of apple fresh, green apple and light sparking wine; Light and pleasant sweet and tart taste of dry sparkling white wine, apple, tannic and light booze. Mid to light body, dry, crisp and lightly tart palate; Mouth feel is very pleasant and dry apple white wine, both sweetness and tartness are in right amount and complement each other nicely, plus woody, musty, and tannic feel are real nice touch; Alcohol taste is fairly light, neatly expressed with a comfy and warming feeling; Crisp dry after taste, very easy, and tasty to mouth.
Comments: A really decent cider, with appropriate dryness and crispy, good woody nose, and all the cider taste components are just the right dose. An excellent year-round thirst quencher after a hearty meal. Lovely!

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
500ml bottle, shared by Jay. Clear golden orange color. Minimal white head around the edge of the glass. Nice more fresh, lightly green apple aroma. Medium body. Lighter carbonation. Lightly dry finish. Some light spice. Sweeter taste, light tart. Not as oaky as expected, it’s very subtle. Decent cider.

2.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Couldn’t resist. Not only did the artwork catch my eye, but it has the words "oak aged" and "cider" on the same label. Fucking sold. 500 mL bottle purchased from Leary’s for $4.80. A bit steep if you ask me. To pint it pours a an ambery piss color. Smells and tastes of apples and vitamins, not much else. Pretty plain and overly sweet. Didn’t care about this one. Wanted more oak, too: there was none. Badly needs a makeover.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
500ml bottle. Clear golden yellow color. No head, non expected. Faint leather, sweet, slightly sour aroma. Sweet, apples, pear, too damn sweet in flavor. But not too bad.

Aroma is apples (possibly green), tartness and tangy. The flavor is green apples, mild/medium sweetness, tartness and a medium dry finish.
