1.8 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
Head is initially very small, fizzy, off-white, fully diminishing.
Body is clear light amber.
Aroma is notes of apple taffy, carpet, ammonia, pencil eraser.
Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic.
Finish is lightly sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter, unclean.
Medium body, watery texture, fizzy carbonation, moderately astringent.
Just plain terrible...very phenolic nose (in a bad way), with little suggestion that it’s made from real apples. Dirty aftertaste and roughly astringent in the mouth. Industrial garbage, nothing more.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle poured into a shaker. Pours a bright copper with almost no head. Aroma of green and red apples with a hint of oak. Taste is light sweet and light tart. A bit of oak in the finish. Medium bodied with a slightly sticky texture. Livelyncarbonation and a decently long, slightly dry finish. Not bad.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Another quite dark coloured cider from Thatchers. Tasted a bit watery when first poured and wasn’t overly impressive. I was called away for a while but when I returned to my glass the flavour and feel had changed considerably. Now it was apples all the way with more than a hint of the wood described on the label. A bit like those cider ice-lollies from my younger days but evidence that cider doesn’t need to be served over ice.

3.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours bubbly brass with a white ring.
Red-apple peel aroma.
Sparkly, deep, apple taste...sugary.
Very subtle notes of oak give it a rich, full feel and balances the sweetness.

Just a taste. Clear amber copper. The aroma was mostly apple. Taste was pretty much flat apple. Fairly dry. Really didn't get much wood or oak.

12/13/13. 500mL bottle at Bleu Cafe. Pours clear, somewhere between copper and amber, with a spritzy head that’s gone fast. Sweet apple aroma, a vague sense of vanilla, not getting much wood. Sweet apple juice flavor, not much else, but nothing offensive. Not bad.

3.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 18/20
Bottle. Pours a clear medium golden color, no head, moderate carbonation, and a mild apple aroma. Taste is mildly sweet, light, with noticeable oak notes in the background. Barrel aging seems to have taken the sweet and tart edges off this, making is balanced, with subtle complexities. Would work well with food. I like it, and would definitely buy it again.

3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
500 ml.bottle sampled thx! to Kraddel. Clear greenish apple juice appearance. Smells like candy, sweet apples, very sugary, pure candy but in a good way. Taste is simple sweet apples, sugar golden apples, white sugar, apple juice leading into some odd raw booze with old rotting wood barrels with an odd mouldy finish. Macro but okay. Fizzy sparkling mouthfeel.
