NOTE: The label carries the subtext "Oak Aged Cider" but there are not two separate products.
Thatchers made Green Goblin cider for Wychwood Brewery which owned the brand. In March 2010 Thatchers Cider acquired the brand from Wychwood under licence. The cider is no longer sold under the Wychwood label.

The Green Goblin from deep in the wood - 100 year-old oak vats, that is.
Made with English apples, and matured in oak vats, Green Goblin cider is a full-flavoured, bittersweet blend, beautifully balanced to give a fresh character with a medium dry finish.

Bottled sample. Spicey apple aroma. Pours with a light bronze hue and no head. Well carbonated. Rich, slighty bitter apple flavour. Very drinkable.

Clear golden color with a bubbly white head that soon vanish. Ok intensity in the aroma. Medium + body and an ok carbonation. Semi dry texture. Lots of apples in the flavor. Some oak and a pleasant acidity. Decent ok cider.

BBD: not found.
In short: mainstream dull cider.
Pours clear golden with vanishing white head. Apple, fruity, barnyard nose. Medium body, soft carbonation, oily texture. Taste is little tart, some funky, fruity, a bit dull.

Very dry. Surprisingly. Was expecting something sweeter. Quite potent at 6% but very drinkable. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Long-avoided bottle from B&M flitting between the egg-chasing and Grimsby Vs Tranmere. Dehydrated gold without head. Aroma of rubber, bread, booze and mouldering windfall fruit. Calamine, rubbery booze, almond and yeasty fruit. Vapid finish. No oak. Monotonous.

Bottle, Deep, slightly dark gold color. Aroma is sweet apple with hints of the oak barrel comes through. Taste is fresh apple, one of the better ones out there.

500ml bottle from Tesco Wines. Pours clear gold. Taste is pure apple juice, fairly rich, clean with no discernible dryness. Perfectly fine but lacks character.

Bottle. Pours golden with a fizzy white head. Aroma of red & green apples, oak and a hint of vanilla. Flavor of sweet apples, woody oak, vanilla and was lightly acidic.

500 ml. bottle, at home. Aroma: Pronounced oak; moderate juice sweetness nearly balanced by a marked astringency. Appearance: Goldish copper pour with sparkling carbonation (you can hear this stuff fizzle from your seat!); all those bubbles actually support a thin white cap, which is a cider first for me. Flavor: Juicy, sweet and oaky up front; the interesting astringency of the nose is lost, unfortunately. The finale is pretty abrupt, and dry. Palate: Light body, slick texture, fizzy carbonation, abrupt finish. Overall: I’d drink it again if offered; it has some points of interest, but is a bit out of my price range to be a repeat customer ($5.49 for my bottle).
