Bottle to glass. Pours a mostly clear light amber color with a light tan head. Aroma and flavor is pure balsamic vinegar, with a touch of brandy. Delicious.

Orange hued golden with light frothy white foam. Aromas of old books, wet oak, vinous, touch of acetone, rose. Body is light medium in weight, slightly oily feel. Touch of alcohol pepper in the finish. Not quite coming together for me but respect here on a beer with a lot of seemingly disparate edges fighting for some kind of order and harmony. I let this warm up to see if it got any better and the discordance seemed to get worse. I want to see this succeed. It’s a charmer, just not for me.

Poured from bottle to glass. Amber hue with creamy white head. Aroma is lemon, earthy, grape, sweat, wood. Mouthfeel is great with light body and nice carbonation. Taste is dry with a tart following and spicy/funk in the finish. Overall this is a really nice brew.

Bottle: Cloudy, bright golden pour with a foamy off-white cap. Chunky & volatile. Lots of brettanomyces in both aroma & flavor. Tart lemon zest, old pineapple, tons of sweaty barn funk. More spicy yeast in the flavor; bready, notes of wood, cobweb, pineapple rind, & a boozy, almost wine-like finish... Maybe from the brandy? Light grassiness with a white pepper & semi-phenolic aftertaste. Super carbonated, probably a bit overboard. Lofty, prickly. Pretty good.

Lukaduke (3038) - Gray, Maine, USA - MAR 29, 2015
Pours a medium copper color with a touch of haze and two fingers of white foam. Lots of complexity duality and harmony happening in this beer. Rustic malts with honey sweetness, tart vinous acidity and round grapey brandy booze. Citrus punch plays nicely with the overall boozy stonefruit and doughy background malts.

750ml bottle shared thanks to Lukaduke! Pours clear golden orange with 2 finger head. Nose is dusty spice oak and some doughy grain funk, woody grain. Taste is a mix of sweet brandy spice and dry field grain, touch of bready oak, some orange citrus, very carbonated, hides the abv well. Finishes with some dry oak, rustic grain and sweet spice orangey citrus.
