Tasting at Bruce’s pad. Thanks to Colin Theydon for this one. Pretty hazy gold - amber beer. Little pale cream coloured head. Softish palate, semi dry. Light carbonation. Light seltzer minerals. Nice mango syrup, as if poured from a can of tinned mango. A little fresh orange. Very light sourness and white wine. Whisper of vanilla. Light dry finish. An approachable sour which drinks well below it’s abv.

Bottle at Culmination Fest: Poured a orange color with a fluffy white head. Aroma was sour citrus fruit. Taste came on strong with sour bitter tart citrus fruit, but finished with a fresh grain pop at the end.

A- pours a rich amber copper with a faint ruddy head that does not linger. Minor lacing. S- grape tannins, apple cider vinegar, lemon peel, oak, acetic acid, fresh sourdough, salt air, plastic, chemicals (like mild Simple Green), and some mustiness. M- medium sticky body with a full acetic palate. Nice burn. Mild carbonation. T- brandy, white wine vinegar, lemon and orange peel, grapefruit, and sweet tarts. Mid palate is acetic acid, salt, tannins, citrus blossoms, jasmine, pink lady apples. Ending is sharp but relatively clean with a faint lingering burn. Some oak, more acetic acid, lemon, butter, and some sourdough bread.

Amber blond with fizzy white head. Aroma is muted with a bit of funk. Flavor is sweet and a bit tart, really clean and refreshing. Body is thicker than expected. Good beer overall.

Pour out of 750 ml bottle, thanks Stephen! Hazy orange pour with white head, aroma brought notes of lemon, oak brandy, earth, slight white grape, hints of grain, slight yeast. Taste is a mix of dough, yeast, grass, some peach, pear, white grape, slight grainy notes, finishing fairly sweet. Nice.

Bottle @ What the Funk Denver 2014. Pours a golden orange appearance with a thin cream colored head. Pretty strong aroma. Definitely some cheese and funk in the nose. Plenty of earth as well. Flavor was a bit strong. Some citrus and a lot of barnyard funk. Light cheese / parmesan. Again, kind of strong but kind of fun to drink.

Bottle at home with friends. Pour is clear yellow with a small white head and decent lacing. Funky, lemony, vanilla, light urine, biscuit, hay, grassy, and doughy aroma. Taste is sweet lemons, biscuit, orange juice, grass, biscuit notes, tangy, and floral with a lightly tart finish. Medium body with fizzy carbonation. Not bad but kind of different.
