Bottle at home, paid $27 at the local beer store here in Vermont. Crisp apple juice looking almost chardonay beer. nose is grapey, vinous and sweet. Taste is crisp and earthy. mild bitterness, almost like tangerine. Then itís followed by fresh cut apples. very interesting and Iíd have it again if the price were a bit lower.

Salmoniform (1004) - Sweet Home, Oregon, USA - DEC 26, 2013
Poured from bottle to glass. Hazy straw hued with fizzy with head that dissipates quickly to thin ring. Aroma is hay, yeast, barnyard, esters, citrus, acidic. Mouthfeel is nice and refreshing with moderately light body and high carbonation. Taste is sweet initially with a slight tartness following and CO2 sharpness throughout the finish. Overall, this is a really nice brew from Ale Apothecary.

This is batch 2, bottled 27SEP12 ABV 10.54% Pours a light straw yellow with a fine white sheet. Nose orgy. So, Iíve never had sex in my nose, but this is like being educated by someone well adapted to teaching different angles, speeds, depths, etc. So, up front, the manure funk, nice something I canít finger - maybe a bit of anise/wormwood character with a bit of soaked wood. Super complex nose. A nice farm character, really deep character. Thereís a good fantome, hill farmstead depth to this beer. Thin bodied with a fine, velvety carb and an ambitiously intriguing finish. Kinda dry, kinda cloying. There is a touch of sweetness. Certainly this is a wild ale, but not in the "traditional" sense - really insane, not tart/sour like most expect. If you though BRUX was fun and interesting, this will blow your goddam cranium to pieces. Serving type: bottle 11-11-2012
