Tasted at a bottle share in a hotel room after the most recent Jackie-O’s bottle release. Hazy darker golden color. Hazy with tons of fine particles in the body. Thin white head. Some loose dots of lace. Funky bruised fermented citrus aromas. Bigger body. Smooth, lighter carbonation. Lightly slick. More sweet than sour. OK wild ale. A lot of yeast character.

Big bottle picked up in Corvallis. Pours a mostly clear copper color with a large white head. Deep funky flavors with toast, leaves, lemon. Light tartness, some funk, white wine, vinous at times, fluffy palate, earthy. Caramel and more citrus zest. Really good. Mellow and drinkable but complex. Impressive.

Nose is fairly sulfuric dusty fruity funky with notes of berries and pineapple and basement. Pours golden yellow, sight haze, bright white head and lace. Flavors of pineapple, berries, wild funky notes, wood, basement. Really nice maouthfeel and carbonation. Smooth airy. Lingering wine barrel flavors in the finish. Solid beer.

Bottle shared at Richard’s Graduation Party (Western Springs, IL). Thanks, guys! Pours a rich hazy golden pour, touch of darkness, rich haziness, frothy whitish head atop laces ok. Thicker film laces well. Aromas are fruity, firm estery pear, banana, and apple. Sour gentle tartness, funk is rich, mellow oak and funky brett. Initial is fairly fruity, apple and pear, some funk and gentle tartness. Some oak, straw, funk. Some dryness, apple, and tartness. More fruity front end leads to a mellow straw, gentle grass presence. Backend is tartness, mellow presence, some gentle funk, lactic element. A gentle sour, fairly fruity and estery. Nice funk, but young. Tasty.

Bottle at RBWG grand tasting. Pours a hazy yellow golden color with a medium sized white head. The aroma and flavor have a tart citrus, mild funk, vinous notes from the wine barrels, grass, additional fruit notes, yeast with some alcohol showing at the finish.

750 ml bottle to snifter (shared by Dogbones). Looks good; a hazy lemon yellow with white head and a bit of tiny sediment. Smells good too; white wine, oak, funk, and lemon zest. Tastes like it smells with a solid mouthfeel. Good stuff!

Thanks to Darrell for sharing. Also huge thanks to boralyl for getting me out a bottle of this. Bottled Novemver 9, 2012. Pours a lightly cloudy light straw color. Nice fluffy head with good retention. The nose contains light sulfur, cheese, wheat, and hay. Some backing lemon and other faint citrus. Really extraordinarily complex and interesting. The flavor ups the lemon and brings really integrates everything beautifully. Acidity is a fantastic component in the background without being too heavy. A bit of backing wine with a touch of pepper and phenols. Absolutely fantastic. I’m blown away by this beer.

Bottle: Poured a hazy golden color ale with a relatively large foamy head with good retention and some good lacing. Aroma consists of vinous notes with some tart notes clearly identifiable. Taste is a mix between some vinous notes with some tart notes and light funky yeast undertones. Body is quite full with good carbonation. Very solid mix between complex Brett notes with well-balanced acidity level.
