Batch Nov 09 2012 10.78 alc vol The beer is light golden with a small, fizzy white head. The aroma offers lemons, wild yeast, grass, funk. Herbal and earthy tones with a delicate sweetness balanced by a light funk. Highly drinkable and really smooth on the palate. This one is a sleeper. Light spice quality. Beautiful balance and so easy to drink. Where is the alcohol presence? Masterfully hidden. A truly fabulous beer.

RBAG 2013, from a bottle with a sting holding the cork in (!?) Lemony yellow and hazy in the glass. The head is white and small, not long lasting. Nose has citrus/orange and some fruitiness (pineapple maybe?). Tastes a bit sour with white wine acidity, some fruity notes and mild funk. Light finish with a little bit of barrel character. Effervescent and generally enjoyable.

Bottle. Clear yellow pour with a big white head. Mild citrus and barrel aromas. Mildly sour with lemon zest, citrus, pear, and white grape vinous highlights. Mild caramel malt, oak, and vinegar low lights. Not overly complex or tart. Tasty and easy sippin’. A bit on the effervescent side.

Bottle courtesy of Todd. Really nice lightly golden sour lactic tartness. Oaky and lightly spicy. Great sour golden.

Tasted on 2/8/14 from a 750mL bottle at the RBWG Grand Tasting. Pours cloudy yellow with a thick white head that slowly recedes to thick lace. The nose is dry sourdough, a touch of lemon peel, and a ton of funky and vinous yeast. The flavor is a bit more tart with gooseberry, lemon, very dry, vinous, and spicy with a touch of lightly sweet Meyer lemon. The body is lactic full with lively but smooth carbonation, and a long tart vinous finish.

Lukaduke (2444) - Portland, Maine, USA - JUL 14, 2013
Pours a hazy golden color with a finger of fizzy foam. On the nose its sweet with lots of fruit notes, peach, lemon, pineapple, candied oranges, smarties candy, tree sap, grass... lots going on here just a bit overwhelming. The palate is complex but a touch disjointed... one end is a lot of the sweet fruit and tart candied smarties.. the other end is funky brett, sappy spruce and pine. Complex and interesting but lacking a bit of harmony when all is said and done.

Poured from a 750 ml bottle, thanks to the Boise crew. Peach, stone fruits, grape, earthy, green vegetal. Very well crafted and interesting.

Pours a light gold with a big head. Aroma of Brett, lacto, tropical fruit. Taste is sour, dry, bretty. Funk and oak. Really nice, funky, dry with a nice brett profile. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

illidurit (2207) - San Francisco, California, USA - DEC 2, 2012
Bottle shared at the November 2012 Santa Cruz tasting. Bizarre blend of herbal notes, mainly ginger but also a sort of Ricola-like character. Sweet doughiness, pale malts, set against a vinous acidity.
