4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
750 ml bottle, batch October 18 2013- Pours slightly hazy golden on the first pour with a foamy two finger white head that slowly reduces but never quite goes away and nice sheeting lace. Aroma is pungent, citrusy, tart, wet basement, brett. The taste lives up to the aroma, funky bretty goodness, yeasty, not as tart as the aroma led on, not sure which type of wine barrels they used, but I would hope it was something like sauvignon blanc, but I could be way off on that. Body is medium and carbonation is high. Very much enjoyed this massively complex brew.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
UPDATED: SEP 18, 2014
Pale cloudy light golden. Light white ringed head. Soft soapy dusty lemon. Gummy citrus. Clinks of passionfruit. Clean and sweet. Faint stewed pineapple. Very clean and neat. Smashing through with such an ABV without any harshness from the length of time in barrell.
Bottle, Independence Tasting, thanks to Paul for the long haul

4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
This is batch 2, bottled 27SEP12
Pours a light straw yellow with a fine white sheet. Nose orgy. So, I’ve never had sex in my nose, but this is like being educated by someone well adapted to teaching different angles, speeds, depths, etc. So, up front, the manure funk, nice something I can’t finger - maybe a bit of anise/wormwood character with a bit of soaked wood. Super complex nose. A nice farm character, really deep character. There’s a good fantome, hill farmstead depth to this beer. Thin bodied with a fine, velvety carb and an ambitiously intriguing finish. Kinda dry, kinda cloying. There is a touch of sweetness.
Certainly this is a wild ale, but not in the "traditional" sense - really insane, not tart/sour like most expect. If you though BRUX was fun and interesting, this will blow your goddam cranium to pieces.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
The beer is light golden with a small, fizzy white head. The aroma offers lemons, wild yeast, grass, funk. Herbal and earthy tones with a delicate sweetness balanced by a light funk. Highly drinkable and really smooth on the palate. This one is a sleeper. Light spice quality. Beautiful balance and so easy to drink. Where is the alcohol presence? Masterfully hidden.

3.9 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bright lemon color, copious amounts of head & lace. Absurd stickiness all over my glass. Beautiful.
Smells like magic: so yeasty/grassy/funky, plenty sour, Brett galore. All of this bleeds onto the palate, assaulting my tongue with salvos of flavor. Damn, this may be the best Brett beer I've had yet. Super impressed.
