A decent offering full of citrus and pine, with some resin and tropical fruit flavors. Not over the top but decent and repeatable.

chinchill (1954) - South Carolina, USA - JUL 5, 2014
On tap at the brewpub in San Diego. Poured clear dark amber with a good, semi-durable head that leaves a some sticky lacing on the glass. Aroma: sweet, herbal and floral hops. Flavor: ample hops for contemporary IPA. Moderate bitterness. Good finish and aftertaste. FeeL: fairly smooth; low-medium carbonation. O: a solid IPA if a bit tame for West Coast style.

Tap at the Beer Company, SD, 21/04/14. Murky orange amber with a moderate off white swirl and edgeing. Nose is orange squash, citric pithdom, light pine, hops, straw. Taste comprises orange pith, light grapefruit, hint of pine, bitter orange. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with light hop bitterness. So So IPA - entry level affair, pretty basic but drinkable. The best beer I had on my visit which doesn’t say a huge amount about these guys!

Draft at the brewpub in downtown San Diego. Pours hazy gold with a creamy white top. Lots of semi-dank citrusy hops in the nose, like grapefruit and tangerine, along with suggestions of pine. Light to medium sweet flavor with sturdy, sticky hops, more grapefruit, some pee, ripe lemon, dry pale malts. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Resinous and lightly warming to finish with bitter pine, grass, grapefruit rind, slight floral spice. Passable.

Lightly hazed orange pour with a white head. Nice lacing, too. There’s some orange, grapefruit, and lemon aromas. A hint of sweet bready malt, too. The flavor is almost acidic, but has a lot of nice citrus flavors. Orange, grapefruit, and lemon. A touch of pine and sweet bread.

Wittales (637) - Las Vegas, Nevada, USA - DEC 22, 2012
Appearance was hazy orangish gold with creamy diminishing off white 1 finger head, spotty lacing. Aromas are sweet pale, caramel, crystal malts, then citrus fruits come to play of orange, tangerine, mango, hints of pine, no alcohol present. Taste was smooth sweet malty backbone, then tangerine, mango, lemon, orange are sticky hoppy balanced with malts. Alcohol is slightly present. Palate was smooth soft CO2 with meduim-full body, then balanced lasting resinous citusy malty finish. A good San Diego DIPA.
