Black. Small beige head. Weak aroma. Roasted and with a little whisky. Oily roasted malts. Rich malty boy. Oily texture. Decent, but not outstanding.

Pour opaque black, with a quickly fading creamy beige head.
Aroma is really smokey. Lots of roasted malts and coffee as well. From the mid and to the end, the whiskey is really comming through. Quite a lot to be honest.
A bit sweet taste.
Medium body, with low carb.

On tap at Ølfestival 2011. Looking wonderful this one, with its dense, finger-thick brown head over a pitch black body. Pear, some chocolate and licorice, a touch of alcohol and some coffee-style roastyness in the aroma. The flavor is sweet and roasted with coffee, peat and licorice. Smooth on the palate, low on carbonation and full-bodied. Lasting sweet and roasted finish with some alcohol. It’s lacks a bit to be world class, but it’s certainly a fine brew. 110528

Draught @ Olfestival 2011 Kobenhavn.Pitch black with a lovely dense beige to brown head that lasts forever. Aroma of roasted malts, coffee, lots of chocolate, peatd smoke and some Caol Ilsa whisky on the back. Full bodied with rich mouthfeel. Roasted malty flavor with the whiskey characxter of the barrel on the foerground this time, also lots of chocolate, ocfee, peated smoke and ash. Great one !

Draught at BAJT, Göteborg. Black beer, small beige head. Malty whisky aroma, smoked, some ash. Whisky flavor, licorice, roasted, smoked. Surprisingly thin.

Draught at Bishops Arms: Järntorget on October 20. Pours black with a small brown head. Smell is smokey with tar, chocolate and alcohol. Taste is dry with a distinct smoked character. There’s also roasted malt, soj, peat, chocolate, wood and alcohol. It has a clear whisky character. Finish is dry, bitter and smokey with coffee.

(Draught) Pours black with almost no head. The aroma holds smoke, wood, whisky, asphalt/tar, coffee, dark chocolate and salt liquorice. Nice but quite simple nose. The flavour is light sweet, light to medium bitter and tiny acidic. Tones of smoke, wood, whisky, coffee, tar/asphalt, dark chocolate and subtle hops. The mouthfeel is clean yet smooth with a light to medium carbonation. Black currant candy/tea, mild whisky and soft roast on the finish. Medium bodied. Well made, maybe just a bit too "clean".

Tao @ BAJT. Pours pitch black with a small brown creamy head. Aroma is smokey ashy roasted malty. Flavor is smokey tary ashy roasted bitter slightly acidy dry. Thin to medium body. Finishes dry bitter roasted.

On tap at KØ-2011. Black colour with a tan head. Aroma is oak, roasted, malt, smoked, coffee. flavour is oak, roasted, smoked, malt, coffee, licorice, chocolate, whiskey. Very nice beer.
