Hazy dull tan. Medium white head. Lightly phenolic aroma. Tastes of burnt electrical wire. Whatever goodness should be here really is dominated by the out of control phenols.

Draft at #3. Another strongly defined Black Turtle beer, they’ve got their own style thing going on, at least they’re trying some new things. Hazed gold, foamy white head. Sweet wheat and vanilla nose, dry tart body. Yeasty bite. still residual sugar and some house yeast going on. Pretty good for them, and stands up to the other weiss beers around the region I suppose.

Draft at Black Turtle 3. Hazy yellow with nice fluffy head. Aroma of overripe plums rotting on the ground. Band aid is strong here, interfering with everything. But its not a bad flaw as flaws go. Has no weizen character, it should be said. The yeast is all wrong and there is a house character, which is heavy with bandaid, in its place.

From tap at Decenska location. Pours hazy yellow with a huge white head. Aroma is estery and light fruity. Classic wheat beer flavoured, yet on the mild side on the esters. Light yeasty and medium dry finish.
