Cask-conditioned at the Seven Stars, Bristol 5/8/2014. Golden with a slight, off-white, head. Sweet, slightly sickly, citrus fruits, cereal malts and a moderately bitter finish. Not for me.

Hand pulled at The King’s Head, Leicester. Grassy, slight ginger hoppy one-dimensional bitter. Never going to set the world alight.

Cask conditioned at The Lych Gate Tavern, Wolverhampton. Gold to amber with white head. There is a crisp, biscuity, malty body, quite bitter and dry then a leafy, slightly tobacco, dry hop note. Some tangy notes, reasonable.

Cask at the Devonshire Arms, Cambridge. Clear amber pour with a broken white thin head. A hint of malt in the aroma that perfectly disguises the spicy hoppy aftertaste in the flavour. The complex flavours from this ale hit the palate right away and linger for a while. A gorgeous ale.

Cask conditioned handpump Henrys Sheffield 21/06/12. A heavily sparkled golden coloured beer with a bright white head. Nice citrussy hops throughout and good pale malts. Tropical fruits. Nouveau hops. The hops don’t sing like you’d like them to but it’s still pretty good.

On cask at Cloisters. A blonde ale with a decent white head. Aroma of lemony citrus, spicy and peppery hops and barley. Flavours of caramel and yeast with peppery and grassy hop notes. Nicely bitter with a long dry finish. A ginger bite at the back of the throat. Very good.

Cask (gravity dispense) at the Bricklayers Arms Yorkshire Beer Festival on 24 February 2011. Pale gold colour. Thin head. Excellent condition. Good fresh feel. Quite bitter. Bags of strong aromatic hops in the aroma and flavour. Very good.
