4.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
A bit more hoppy and less malty than a normal Black IPA but I LOVE it. Great summer beer on a hot day. It smacks you in the face and doesn’t fade after a couple like so many do. White Rajah good - Black Rajah, in yo face mutha.

Draft to pint at Neon’s. Looks good; black with beige lacing. Smells and tastes good too; like White Rajah with a roasted malt backbone. Nice on the palate too. An outstanding example of the style!

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Aroma: Hints of grapefruit and citrus hops. Appearance: Dark amber with no head. Taste: Medium bitterness with hints of sourness at the edges. Palate: Medium body, average carbonation, slick texture, long finish. Overall: Solid, we'll developed beer. Nothing standout, but nothing disappointing, either.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Draft. Poured clear black color with an average frothy brown head that lasted and produced good lacing. Moderate to heavy toasted dark rye and hop aroma. Medium to full body with a slick texture and soft carbonation. Moderate to heavy toasted bittersweet flavor with a medium to heavy bittersweet finish of moderate to long duration. This is a very good beer.

Very hoppy taste and notes of grapefruit. Goes down very smooth for a black IPA. Very clean and fruity finish. Great tasting brother to the white rajah.

On tap at Winking Lizard. Dark brown color with small offwhite head and little lacing. Great hops with a hint of malt. Balanced well and was pretty good overall.

Draft at Big Beers. Pretty pungent IPA. Seriously, nice bitterness and dark malt but theres some nice skunk lurking in there.

Hoppy while having a roasty character. Not bad...just not really my favorite style.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Sample at the brewpub. Pours a dark brown color with a medium thick khaki head that dissipates slowly. Patches of lacing on the glass. Aroma of roasted malt and hops. Medium-bodied with flavors of piney hops, roast malt and citrus. The finish is moderately bitter with an earthy hops aftertaste. Above average overall.
