Bottle (12 oz) @ Hotel Room Tasting. Thanks to Russ for the bottle!

Appearance: Hazy bright golden with a small bubbly white head and little lacing.

Aroma: Weed, dank hops, tropical fruits and hints of resin.

Taste: Weed, onions, dankness, tropical fruits and light bitterness. Like the deScription states, malt is in the back seat.

Palate: Medium body. Moderate carbonation. Oily. Dank and herbal/grassy finish.

Overall: Tasty IPA. Dank hop juice with minimal malt presence. Lack a bit of carbonation though. Really good!

Pours a hazy golden with a thin partial white head that leaves some lacing. Nose is of fruits and dank stuff. Taste is fruity and a touch over "medium" when it comes to bitterness. Body was medium and carbonation medium-high. Overall a pretty nice offering!

bottle shared by tom10101, thanka bro. pours hazy very pale golden with a small white cap, some retention and lacing. peppery weed, sulfuric grass, candied melons, wheaty pepper, sweetish herbs, lean pale maltiness, warming alcohol. light carbonation, light body, assertive weedy-spicy-citrusy finish. nice but nothing spectacular.

Bottle @ hotel room tasting. Hazy pale gold pour with white head. Aroma is nice and dank, weedy, grassy, biscuity malt notes. Taste is bitter, mouth coating oily, grassy hoppiness, light honey malt. Palate is med-light bodied, easy drinking. Pretty tasty IPA.

Pours somewhat hazy apricot golden, thin whitish head. Aroma is SERIOUSLY hoppy, mainly resiny. Evergreen hops dominate the flavor but let peeks of malt and citrus through. Firm texture is lively and tingly.

Bottle picked up from the brewpub. Pours a clear golden honey color. Nice fluffy white head tat recedes to a cap. Nice retention, and sparkling carbonation. Aromas are fruity...pineapple, pear...some crisp pine/earth permeates as well....some subtle sweet pale malt notes arise towards the end. Taste is nicely balanced with crisp hops that follow the nose...moderate bitterness and pine bite...medium bodied on the palate...feels a bit heavier as it warms...as does it sweeten a bit more as it warms. Nice clean finish, moderate bitterness. Pretty dry on the palate too. Yet it makes my mouth water for more. Really good stuff!

Pulling this out of the cooler actually got me wound up. I’m so in the mood for a good IPA and this one was intriguing from the day I pulled it out of the box. With my trusty vintage bottle opener I expose the brew and am struck in seconds by the aroma of juicy, sweet grapefruits, and ripe apricot. I have to take a photo, of course, and it’s difficult to resist bringing the glass to my lips for a sweet sample, but I resist. The anticipation is both the hardest and the sweetest portion of any wanton desire, and this is definitely what I have. No simile here, just straight-forward and simple. Craft beer is like sex. The pour is slightly cloudy, dark peach in hue, and topped with a deep and soft, but dense off-white head. You can see that this cap is not giving up any time soon and I expect to have some of this foam sitting at the bottom of my glass at the very end. (I do!) The rings appear in almost perfect formation on the glass as I sip down, the sticky resin adhering a lace that your grandmother would be proud to put down on the Thanksgiving dinner table. The medium body carries a flavor that tantalizes with juicy fruits one minute and a jaw cracking bitterness on the back of my tongue the next. I’m sure that some malts were used in the process of making this beer, and it just wouldn’t be the same without them, but they are WAY in the back. Still, a sweetness is there providing a bit of smoothness that this would be devastating without. All in all, this is a damn fine IPA and I’m excited to have been able to experience it.

Bottle, thnx to Secret Santa. Pours a slight hazy golden beer with a small white head on top. Aroma is massive grapefruits, peaches, orange zest and other citrus influences. Flavor is very hop forward, loads fruity bitterness going on, balanced out by a fairly malty base in the back. The bitter fruit is very nicely present in this one. Carbonation is decent, aftertaste is medium long and bitter. Good stuff!

Is there really such a thing as a perfect beer? This is as good as it gets! Best IPA in America, so far. I’ve yet to have a Heady Topper! I’ll definitely have to compare.
