Poured into a shaker pint at the brewery while sitting outside enjoying the view. From notes, July 27, 2012. A: Hazy orangish-golden color with a small white head that fades pretty quickly. S: Bready wheat malt, light-colored fruit and light pepper and clove spices. T: Taste seems weak in every aspect. Very light clove with some grassy, wheat-like malt and a slight fuit flavor. No flavor is very strong, however. M: Light-bodied with good carbonation, and a mild dryness. O: This beer isn’t bad, but it’s pedestrian. Again, everything is a bit too subdued. Serving type: draft

Aroma:citrus, malty/grainy, very clean nose
Taste: doughy, cracker, grainy, hint of citrus
Overall: A clean beer that lacked complexity.

Taster @ the brewery. Pours really clear four a wheat. But aroma and flavor are spot on. Thin head. Pretty good except the appearance

[Tap] Pours a cloudy light yellow color with a small amount of white head. Wheat malts and cereal in the nose. Grass, herbal notes, milder amounts of citrus and sweet gum in the taste. Watery mouthfeel. Needs more body to bring out the otherwise decent flavor profile.

On tap at the brewpub. The body was dark amber with a khaki head. the aroma was lemons with some bread and cloves. The taste was clove along with a light banana note. There were also some lemon hints.

Nothing in the aroma. A wheaty beer for sure and American-style, which I don’t like. Grassy thin and too wheaty.

Spent my 11th anniversary up in the place where I got married and the wife and I decided to drop in to the brewery for lunch, where we could get some pizza and I could rate some new beer. I got the sampler order and this started it off. Aroma was practically non-existant. But after a bit of warming, I could pull off some diacytl and some slight vegetable. Nothing like an American Wheat should be, but then again..most American wheats suck. Appearance was brilliantly clear, yellow with a minimal white head. Mouthfeel was waterlike with little to no substance. Flavor was light, no real character to speak of. It too was almost like water. Nothing offensive other than the nose. If you need something cold to drink...drink water. This was closely treading on pale lager territory.

Draft at the brewpub. Poured a slightly hazy golden color. Head was white and dissipated relatively quickly. The aroma and flavor were dominated by subdued malty caramel with a bit of citrus in the background. Slightly sweet on the tongue. Sadly, this was one of their better beers, IMO.

A barely above average hefe. Aroma is sweet with a malty background. Garnished with a lemon that was not necessary. Appearance was thick and cloudy. Mouthfeel and flavor was very nice and a smooth taste.
