burpfrank (289), carpinteria, California, USA Jun 27, 2007 This had an average head.Color a medium dark amber.Had a nice aroma of floral and citrus. The palate was sticky. The taste was of oranges and bitter hops.I wanted to taste more subtlties, but none detected.I liked this IPA,but not one of the best.It is a very good one.Much better than average.

Maybe just hard to screw up a good hoppy west-coast IPA, but this was better than average for the style and by a long mark the best beer of the night. Pours surprisingly light yellow with a very piney aroma. The flavor is a nice dry bitterness, herbial and medicinal without the caramel and candied grapefruit often found in the style. This one is in the Diamond Knot IPA vein, and quite reasonable though not quite in the league of the Diamon Knot. Still, a nice drink.
