3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Tasted at the Bruery tasting room. Poured a dark brown color with almost no head. Rummy, vanilla, coconut (not strong and would have guessed from the rum barrels and I didn’t see coconut as an ingredient), chocolate, roast, and some somkiness.

Tons of coconut and vanilla. Some smoke. Lots of rum flavor, but smooth and complementary to everything else. Well balanced and delicious.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
On tap @ Sucreversary. Black pour with a small tan head. Hints of smoke and roasted malt with tons of coconut on the nose. Chocolate, lots of vanilla, and a hint of rum. Mild spice and oak, a touch of peanut butter. Flavor has tons of coconut. Great vanilla, chocolate, and roasted malt as well. Light coffee, smoke, and a hint of rum. A touch of oak. One of the best beers of the day.

So I liked this rum version better than the bourbon. At Sucréversary, this beer was a good mix of the rum, vanilla, oak, chocolate, and toffee. Still not a stand out by any stretch, but pleasant to drink.
