COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
We brewed this Saison-style ale with our friends at the newly opened brewery, Bottle Logic, located just down the street from our sour barrel warehouse. Being just as interested in style bending beers as we are, this not-so-logical beer was born. The base beer is a Belgian-style farmhouse saison, fermented with Brettanomyces, but that’s just where the fun begins. Our teams selected an unusual set of herbs to brew the beer with and then added as much raspberry and mango puree as we could fit into our fermenters. The result is a tropical Saison that is perfectly refreshing during this unusually warm California winter.

bottle split with the wife the other night. pours a hazy golden orange with a slightly pink tinted head. very funky looking pours like a total yeast cake. nose has some berries. taste has some berry and mango, balanced but the brett adds zero.

Hazy light orange pour with a white head. Fruity nose. Muddled taste. Malt with some fruit. Meh.

maybe mango just shouldnt be in beer? Weird bad aroma. Flavor was raspberry and mango sweetness fighting each other. Weird.

Bottle split at CBC Clerko, thanks to KTBP (Kenny the Bruery pimp), 06/01/15. Hazed orange amber with a decent off white covering. Nose is juicy citrics, peach, mandarin, mango, perfume. Taste comprises a floral presence, mandarin, peach, gooseberry, apricot. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Decent fruit beer I suppose!

On tap at The Bruery tap takeover, the Ginger Man, New York. Pours murky deep orange with off-white head. Strong fruit aroma. Sourish flavor with huge mango flavor in combination with other fruit. Hint of spices and yeast. Very interesting and pretty good.

Tasting at Craft Clerkenwell. Murky amber - brown beer with a big fluffy pale orange - peach head. Palate is light, dry and a little crisp. Light dry floral raspberry. Little generic fruits underneath. Whisper of soap before a dry finish. A bit odd but okay.

Bottle shared at craft clerko. Thanks to Ken. Clouded orange coloured pour, bit murky, lasting white head. Aroma is spiced orange, coconut, little sweet cranberry. Quite aromatic / perfume bit soapy on the nose. Flavour is composed of sweet orange peel with a hint of tart cranberry, but perfumed and grain tannin. Palate is medium sweet, tangy grains, moderate carbonation. Lingering sharp harsh fruit and orange.

750ml bottle in a tulip. Pours hazy, pinkish golden with a white head. Aroma of light sourness, mangoes and raspberries, some pale malts, hints of spices/herbs, light notes of funk, and something weird I can’t place. Flavor the same with the blend just not going perfectly. Average texture. Not bad at all, just a little weird.
