A good sour, a little bit of a breath of fresh air in the world of hops. For anybody that is a little over the hop craze, you should look at this beer.

Side by side with bourbon barreled version. Thinner than bourbon but a touch yammy for me.

25-JAN-2012, bottle @Papsø tasting, @Yespr. Hazy amber with low tan head. Fruit aroma with malt and some brett. Taste the same but comes out far stronger than aroma. Still not overly brett’y, though. Medium to full body with low carbonation. Some hops finish up the taste, but more like a barley wine than a sour/wild.

Bottle. Pours murky amber brown with minimal beige head. Aroma is maple-syrup, medium caramel-malty, black pepper, bread, funk, red beries, spicy, toffee, buttery, smoked meat, estery - melon and honey. Taste is medium sweet, light bitter, with a tart note. Body is medium, texture is oily/sticky, carbonation is soft. Finishes warming.

Sample from 75 cl. bottle. Hazy, amber colour with a golden tint. Small, off-white head. Sweet aroma with caramel malts, spices, light bretts, fruits and syrup. Taste is sweet. Full body with an oliy texture, soft carbonation. Finishes sweet with vague bretts and an alcohol note. Good.
