Bottled. A deep red beer with a thin dark brown head. The aroma has strong notes of ginger combined with medium notes of cardemomme, caramel, and malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of cardemomme, caramel, bread, malt, and ginger, leading to a dry bready and spicy finish.

ChrisOs Easter Tasting. Hazy dark brown beer, short lived pale tan head. Smooth palate turning crisp because of biting fine carbonation. Sweet dark malts. Well spiced but no dry gritty spice. Semi dry finish. Okay sweet spicy beer. Hides the abv well.

Bottle, 75cl, at HaandFestival 2012. A lightly unclear beer, dark brown in color and topped by a dense, finger-thick beige head. Bready nose with caramel, fresh fruits, figs, tobacco, leather and pumpkin pie spices. Really complex and pleasant, of the kind you can sit and enjoy for quite some time before having the first sip. The flavor is equally complex, but I think it lacks a bit to be at the same level as the aroma. There’s bitterness, caramel-ish and bready malts, dried figs, tobacco and leather, and the same nice pumpkin spices found in the aroma. Full-bodied, lightly warming and with a fine level of carbonation. Considering the ABV level, it hides the alcohol well in all stages. Bitter finish with tobacco, leather, dried fruits and some spices, as well as dark bread and caramel. A wonderful and complex beer I’m looking forward to having once more. 120505
