COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A Belgian style dark ale brewed with spices. The fourth verse of our Twelve Beers of Christmas saga incorporates gingerbread-like spice into a rich and robust dark ale.

Clear dark red brown colour with a small to average, frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, caramel, ginger bread, spicy, pumpkin alike, ginger. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and light to moderate bitter with a average to long duration, spicy, caramel, ginger bread, roasted malt. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. Bottled. A deep red beer with a thin dark brown head. The aroma has strong notes of ginger combined with medium notes of cardemomme, caramel, and malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of cardemomme, caramel, bread, malt, and ginger, leading to a dry bready and spicy finish.

Bottle 75 cl. Pours an opaque dark brown with a warm reddish hue and a beige hue. Heavy aroma of prunes and dates and a little spice as well. Solid body, low carbonation, again lots of oxidized dark fruits and a little indefinable spice. Warming alcohol finish. Almost Quad-like. Nice! 280112
