COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
5 Golden Rings is the 5th verse in our í12 Days of Christmasí winter seasonal ale series. This is the only golden ale in the bunch but it definitely packs a holiday punch. We spiced up this 11.5% ABV ode to Winter with cinnamon, allspice and ginger along with some delicious sweet and tangy pineapple.

Tons of pineapple aroma before I could even pour into my glass. Gold & Orange in color, quickly dissipating head. Flavor in intense pineapple and follows with ginger. Fruit Cake! Perfect dessert holiday Belgian Ale. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

750 ml bottle. Served in a Unibroue tulip, the beer pours a hazy amber/orange color with about a inch off-white head that stayed around for a while. Thereís a small amount of lacing. The brew smells like pineapples, sweet spices (allspice, cinnamon), bready/grainy malt, and some hay. Taste is similar to the aroma, but thereís the addition of some peppery spice, white grapes, Belgian yeast, pears and some cloves. Mouthfeel/body is medium, itís a bit syrupy and has low/moderate carbonation. I liked this brew, but after a while the pineapple and spices started to be a little much. Luckily by that point I was mostly done drinking the bottle. Definitely worth a try if you come across it. $10.99 a bottle.

Poured for myself and my dad on this fine Christmas Eve dinner, we are having ham. The pineapple is really strong, but seems too mellow. It paired fairly well with dinner, also had a side of fruit salad with pineapples. The Belgium base beer is there but really drown out by the fruit. Different thats for sure.

Classic bready golden yeast taste with bold pineapple and ginger front forward flavor. This one is very over the top on flavor. Iíve noticed with fruit beers, the more fruit the longer it lasts. In seven years, Iíll restate this.

Bottle shared in Vail. Thanks to adnielsen for sharing. Pours a cloudy orange color with white head. Citrus, spicy, cinammon, yeasty, tangy flavors. Very strong and carbonated. Not a huge fan.

Bottle in Vail, picked up at Wilburs Fort Collins. Pours a hazy orange appearance with a somewhat small, off white head. Big ginger, spicy allspice, tangerine, pineapple, tropical fruity, strong and a bit boozy aroma. Juicy, pineapple, fruit cocktail, chewy ginger, somewhat zesty yeasty/estery, banana flavor with a fair amount of booze. Seems pretty overdone.

Bottle. Poured clear brown color with an average frothy light brown head that was mostly lasting with excellent lacing. Complex heavy spice tropical fruit sweet aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium to heavy dark spice and fruit sweet flavor with a medium to heavy sweet finish of moderate to long duration with a warming alcohol bite. Good complex brew.

2012, Christmas Eve. Capped 750ml bottle. Deep orange color. Thin white ring, heavy carbonation. Aroma of sugar, caramel sugars, fermented pineapple juice, pineapple meat. Tastes of pineapple juice, tart not acidic, golden raisins. strong. I feel the burn going all the way down into my stomach. Its a great Belgian Strong, with a touch of fruit. (3560)

Strong, yeasty aroma has fruity and malty undertones and hints of ginger and - allspice? Coriander? Pours a pretty clear golden amber with a fairly thick, if not too persistent, pale cream head. Flavor is quite sweet, but not cloying, notes of banana, honey, yeast, malt and coriander - and an alcohol bite that will get your attention! Texture is thick and firm, almost syrupy, with a subtle but persistent tingle, leaving a fruity, edgy, honey-sweet finish. Merry Christmas, Joyful Kwanzaa, Festive Festivus, Happy Saturnalia, and of course, Happy New Year!
