COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
6 Geese-A-Laying is the 6th beer in our "12 Days of Christmas" series and is a return to the more classic dark and toasty winter ale, following the appropriately blonde 5 Golden Rings. Brewed with cape gooseberries, this malty ale displays notes of plums, dark cherry and bright, citrus-like flavors from the namesake berries. Delicious right now, but suitable for aging up to 6 years, upon the release of 12 Drummers Drumming.

Really enjoyed this Belgium, to me brings in what a Belgium should be, strong, smooth, the ABV does not come through and it full of flavor.

Pours a lovely dark mahogany body with a small white head. Has a fantastic sweet aroma of berries and malt. Goes down smooth with no lingering after taste.

Medium brown mahogany with a slight haze, strong two-finger head that dissipated to a solid and consistent film, and exquisite lace. Aromas of ripe dark fruits - figs, plums, raisins - banana, brown sugar, toasted malt and a whiff of maple. Rich dark fruit sweetness with the tartness of a granny smith, accompanied by toast and brown sugar. Medium to full body, lively carbonation, rich creamy mouthfeel, and a slightly tart finish. Wonderful - might put one away for a couple of years.

Strong banana clove belgian aroma. Appears to be unfiltered, a caramally opaque light brown, beautiful lacing. Tastes of sour ginger with hints of sweet banana, some leather, followed by hop bittering. Palate is medium bodied a little fizzy. Overall, very nice.

750 from Smith’s and Whole Foods. Pours turbid ruddy brownish rust colored with off-white head. Nose is plum, cherry, berry, funky yeasty esters, mild hopcitrus. Tastes dense and complex on the palate, with the lack of filtration adding layers of fruity complexity. Finishes with notes of old aley funky yeast, fruit and berry, and winter spices.

Cloudy brown color. Light sour aromas. It is like a sour scotch beer, tart but full sweet body. Rinses light and fresh.

On Tap at Duck Island Alehouse on New Years eve 2013. Pours a slightly hazy dark brown with red hue. Smells of Belgian yeast, dark fruit, cherries and dark malt. Tastes of the same things in the smell and slighly boozy. Mouthfeel is medium and creamy with great carbonation. Great beer so much complexity and flavors going on here. It reminded me of a belgian quad with a little winter warmer flavor. Would like to see what a little age would do to this.
