COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This beer is made in the pumpkin beer tradition, except instead of pumpkins we used yams, and lots of them! A big Belgian-style brown ale of 10% ABV, this one is bringing pumpkin beers (or yam beers) into new territory.

Bottle: Thanks Drebus: Served in a Chouffe glass: Very small and quickly disappearing creamy vanilla beige foamy head/lacing on top of a hazy red to ruby colored beer. Aromas of cloves, molasses, dried leaves, soya, caramel, malts, nuts, bark, maple, some raisin and a light meat from the butcher aroma. Flavours has loads of spices, cloves, some pepper, sweet wood, liquorice wood, malts, autumnal herbs, caramel, light dessert vinous, some nuts, raisin, maple, molasses and some dried leaves. Aftertaste spices, wood, raisin, some bark, molasses and maple. Low carbo, creamy light oily mouthfeel, full body and a creamy oily texture. Pretty complex, loads of spices. Balanced and pretty easy drinkable.

Bottle @ countbeer shared by me. Ruby colour with a small off-white head that doesn’t last at all. Smells molasses, herbs, autumn leaves, slightly cinnamon, sweet. Tastes very sweet, some maple syrup, molasses, herbs, a hint of chocolate even, bourbon, nuts. A herbal bomb, but somehow I like it. Medium body, soft carbo.

Pours dark brown with short lasting off white head. Nice aroma with notes of brown sugar, pumpkin spice, and earth. Big and sweet with a lively mouthfeel. Sweetness is a bit overpowering, but working past that there is some good vegetative complexity.

Malt aroma with some spice; deep amber appearance with a light brown lacy head; molasses and malt taste with some spice; creamy on the palate with a light fizz and slight bitter finish; overall, a solid fall beer, not extraordinary, but not disappointing ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Cloudy brown ale with a foamy white head. Molasses is strong in the body and the spices are more apparent in the finish. Has a light bitterness to it and a nice medium body feel.

10% part of the 3000 yen tasting set at CBB. A great amber brown pour with a light beige head. Sweet, sour, fruity, tart with mild pumpkin beer spiciness. Full bodied, zesty, good caramel, sour/tart fruit vibes, some cocoa or nutty notes. Right up my alley. Comparative tasting reveals a kind of candy sweetness to it.
