COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This beer is made in the pumpkin beer tradition, except instead of pumpkins we used yams, and lots of them! A big Belgian-style brown ale of 10% ABV, this one is bringing pumpkin beers (or yam beers) into new territory.

A really interesting brew. Pours a lovely burnt orange/brown. Aromas of pumpkin.. Or in this case yams. Also fall spice and maple syrup. I was not expecting this to be a tart ale. Sweet pumpkin, syrup, and tart cherries. Weird, but good.

Red brown body. Nice sized cream head. Yeast Belgian aroma. Hints of banana and fig. Slight tart taste with a banana and maple finish. Has a lot of Belgian style characteristics. It’s ok.

Butelka 75cl. Ogólnie słodkie piwo z wyraźnymi nutami dodatków (molasy i syropu klonowego) i alkoholu.

Bottle. Pours a hazy brown with a thin layer of off white head. Aroma of spice, pumpkin, sweetness, and a hint of booze. Taste is booze/pumpkin/spice forward.

Look: Pours with average sized, thick, light brown head. It has a smooth, slow and equal retention, mostly diminishes. Leaves a thick, fine top layer, some random lacing down the way. Cloudy brown with red hue, low amount of carbonation visible.

Smell: It’s an oddball. Ketchup, light acidity freshness and bits of soy sauce. Also medium sweetness with caramel and maple dominating. Spices and potato.

Taste: Well, the smell translates into taste but builds in some more complexity. Starts with candy, licorice and autumn spice mix. Continues to medium/heavy caramel, molasses middle sweetness. Ends with some sweet potato, cinnamon and star anise. The stuffy sweetness with relatively strong spices linger for some time, light acidity helps it make bearable.

Mouthfeel: Full light heavy body, suitable carbonation, alcohol wonderfully incorporated.

Overall: An interesting mash up, worth a try, but ends up a bit too stuffy for my liking.

Pours hazy purple amber with lasting beige head. Aromas are funky, what smells like a sweetness from either yams or molasses. Very Belgian up front, like Chimay Blue with clove spiciness, but yielding into a bit of sourness and distinct yammy sweetness that lingers on the finish. Overall pretty interesting and decent, but a little lacking in depth.
