3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours a medium brown with a large off white head that fades fairly quickly, though Iíve seen quicker. Aroma not too powerful, but I can distinguish brown sugar and some spices. Tastes like a fairly conventional brown ale at first, but on the back end there is a strong flavor of yams, followed by that belgian yeasty flavor. Thereís also a spice flavor throughout, though I donít think my palate is sophisticated enough to distinguish all of them. Overall, good beer. I really enjoyed this one. Will drink again next year. Also one last thing? This being a 750ml 10%er, I thought it would get me way drunker than it did? I finished this whole bottle and I only felt only slightly tipsy. Not that thatís a bad thing; just interesting. Iíve gotten way drunker off of less amounts of lower ABV beer with other conditions being equal.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Exceptionally smooth beer for the ABV, very tasty. The maple is not a stand out flavor, tastes more like a pumpkin beer. For a somewhat similar taste and comparable ABV for less, I would stick with Southern Tier Pumking.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Rated on 11-08-2014 (Bottle) When poured, this beer has a huge foamy vanilla head that mostly diminishes, slightly hazy amber body, fast rising carbonation, and a fair amount of lacing. The aroma is very spicy, some clove, cinnamon, sweet, and malt. The flavor is sweet, very spicy, a little syrupy, caramel malt, and some alcohol. The mouthfeel is moderate carbonation and this beer is medium bodied. The flavor just did not entice me enough to want this beer again. It is not bad tasting. The flavors just did not come together that well for my liking. Nonetheless, it is worth trying.

3.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
This bottled brew from a bottle shop poured a very large sized head of foamy bubbles that were and left behind a softly carbonated transparent brown orange colored body and a fair lacing. The complex aroma was maple syrup brown ale citrus spicy and hoppy. The mildly vinous mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish with a acidic hoppy aftertaste. The flavor contained notes of maple syrup mild citrus mild caramel mildly vinous sweet spices brown malt crisp breads and hops. A decent one but not one that I would consider drinking again.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap at 10 East. The beer has the look like something from a rusty rain gutter, orangish-brown, cloudy with a off-beige head. Aroma of pumpkin spice, maple and sweetness abounds. I definitely get the yam profile in the flavor, with some earthy sweetness, burnt sugar, clover honey and sugar cookies. Finish is medium and the body has a surprising lightness to it. Sweet, but not cloying. Very nice indeed.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours dark copper color with a thick creamy off white head. Sweet malty aroma with yams, cinnamon, nutmeg and clove yeastiness. Creamy mouthfeel. Sweet caramel malt start with rich yams, molasses, maple syrup, vanilla. Some raisin and prune flavors in the middle with cinnamon and nutmeg and finishing with a yeastiness and slight tart flavor. This is a really rich and complex brew. This beer may have ruined all other pumpkin beers for me.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
750 ml bottle from Biggie Wine & Liquor. Amber reddish brown and hazy appearance with a small, diminishing light tan head. Aroma of sweet potatoes, light maple syrup, brown sugar, pumpkin spices, nutmeg, cinnamon, clove, caramel, toffee and light molasses. Flavor is similar to the aroma with fruity esters and light notes of alcohol, subdued when it warms up. Medium spiciness and mild to moderately sweet with minimal to light bitterness. A little syrupy on the palate, medium to full body, with a lingering, light boozy finish. Not bad overall, enticing aroma but somewhat unbalanced flavor and finish.

2.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
On tap at the Reservoir; Pours brown with almost no head. Aroma of nutmeg, other spices, yam, and sugar. Taste is SUPER sweet, and then cloves, nutmeg, and more sugar. Heavy body, cloyingly sweet, pretty gross.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Big sweet yam blast! Dark cloudy orange. Nose had some yam and pumpkin spice. Taste was hugely sweet at first. Settled a little bit to give some yam, booze, and pumpkin spices with a full and slightly creamy mouthfeel. Warm you up and put you in a sugar coma.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
On tap at ABV. Pours a dark copper color with a medium white head. A big sugary sweet nose, yams and yeast. The flavor is big sugary yam, certainly like pumpkin, light spices, a bit of toast. Pretty nice.
