A: The beer pours a completely opaque purple-red color with a fizzy pinkish head that is poorly retained. S: Pure raspberry on the nose. Really, not much else to talk about. The nose is dominated by the sweet fruitiness and maybe there’s a bit of raspberry soda. Only a mild sourness. T: As with the nose, a mild sourness and lemon character that is almost overwhelmed completely by the intense raspberry flavor. There is a bit of grass to it, but it’s really a really simple flavor profile. As it warms up, there’s a slight acetic note. M: The body is medium with a medium carbonation. O: This wasn’t bad, it just didn’t have much going on with it. If you really like raspberries, it would be great. I was hoping for more sourness.

(Growler, courtesy of BMan1113VR) Pours a murky smoothie looking body with a small pinkish-white head Aroma of raspberries and light earthiness. Flavor of raspberry puree with a refreshing sourness. This rocks! I could drink this plenty and often.

Clear cranberry juice colored pour, white head. Sour and a hint of sweet...rasberries, sour lemon candy, sour patch kids. Spritzer like and too easy to drink!

Grolwer. brilliant appearance, ungodly raspberry aroma. Flavor is not as great, nice tartness, raspberry covered by malt and funk but still vibrant.

On tap at The Tasting Room. Decent sour raspberry, not as complex as the additions of raspberries to follow.

Tap at The Bruery thanks to BMan1113VR. Clear, neon dark pink pour. Weak to no foam. Low carbonation. Nose is nice seedy raspberry, pretty jammy, moves to bright popsicle, flashes of Berliner-esque sour mash dough. Taste is juicy, seedy, bright lactic and citric acidity. Mild berry tannin balance. Really nice, refreshing, on point.

On tap at Woodshop #6 (and on my kegerator). Pours with a hazy red to pink hued body and a small head. Aromas are tart, sharp raspberry. Very real fruit. Very fresh and inviting smelling. Not much aroma beyond the fruit. Flavors are tart, very fresh, with a medium sour. All raspberries and absolutely delicious. Medium bubbles, dry. Very thirst quenching. As purely a complex sour, I would not rate this nearly as high, but as a beer I want to drink, I thought it was awesome. Medium acidity, but real fruit and absolutely thirst quenching. In the heat this was more enjoyable than even Hottenroth, and that says a lot!
