Thanks to tectactoe. Really good bourbon flavors. A lot of different flavors here, dark fruits and spices. Another good one from The Bruery.

750mL bottle shared with kegbear. Dark brown almost black pour with minimal head.W onderful aroma of fruit and booze. Taste is delicious but the aftertaste may be one of the best I have ever tasted. Wow just lingering notes of caramel and rum and a hint of malty spice. Delicious

Bottle. Dark, murky brown pour with an initial froth of tan foam that quickly disappears. Moderate bourbon with vanilla in the aroma followed by a dense malt profile with fig, plum, raisin, brown sugar, and light spice that intermingles with the alcohol heat. Taste is semi-harsh bourbon with alcohol vapors and heavily sweet malt and some spices. The beer smells more interesting than it tastes. Coating mouthfeel. Decent.

2.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle - Pours deep mahogany with a thin ring of tan head. Pretty sharp on the nose. Boozy with sweet dark fruit, bourbon, and not much else. Taste is better--not as sharp, hot, with lots of dark bread malt and a touch of chocolate. Slick, with lots of sharp, hot heat. Not my favorite.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
15 oct 2013, tap at the Bruery. Dark brown, maybe black. Nose is big fruitcake, very nutty. Thin but heavy body (if that makes sense), and mildly fizzy. There is fruitcake here but it has to combat an oily nuttiness that doesn't dominate, but doesn't bow the knee to the sweet malt or alcohol.

Thanks to PaulUnwin for sharing this one. Cheers, Paul! Pours a hazy orange-brown with an ephemeral tan head. Nose is ginger, bourbon, oak, Belgian yeast, molasses, and booze. Flavor is similar- sweet malt, bourbon, oak, ginger as heck, molasses, and dark fruit along with a medium body and lots of booze.

Very good. Pours dark brown, no head. Aroma of bourbon and holiday spices. Taste of brown sugar, smooth bourbon, some alcohol burn. So good on a chilly day. Need more for the fall/winter. Would love to try the original.

Bottle pour. Dark pour with no head to speak of. Very nice bourbon barrel, beer is much better than original with chocolate and bourbon and oak.

Bottle shared by Randall. Murky butt mud pout with a faint white head. Molasses aromas. Surprise, another sweet boozy mess from the Bruery. Molasses, bourbon, and cola notes dominate. Thin in the body with an average mouthfeel.
