3.6 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap at barcade, pours black with light off white head and no lace. Notes are chocolate, roast, figs, oAk, meat, light char, cherry and lots of booze. Aroma was best part with fudge and rich vanilla. It has some flavor going especially for the percent but the finish let’s you realize your still drinking a 20 percenter. Syrupy and full mouthful but not overly sticky. Typical bruery big beer.

Bottle. Dark pour with tan head. Smells of vanilla, chocolate and alcohol. Very good and balanced flavor with an alcohol burn on the finish. Best chocolaty beer I've had

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Had at Dave’s during dude’s party while his fiance away. This stuff is tasty and interesting, but at 19.5% it’s hard to have more than a few ounces. Too boozy(yes, I know that is what it is).

"one of the more inflated and hyped beers i’ve ever had, but I can totally see where that comes from. absolutely delicious and decadent on every level. they took Black Tuesday, an already great beer, and smoothed out the rough edges by adding cocoa nibs and vanilla bean aging. Soooo good. Definitely still on the rich and sweet side of things, but the additions actually manage to temper the sweetness a little. Bourbon, fudge, vavilla, dark roast, alcohol. 39 proof silk. This was the 2012 batch from the Bruery, coming in at a whopping 19.5%. While I love this beer, I wonder about the need to be so strong. I think at 13-15%, this may have been one of the best beers I’ve ever had..."

4.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Draft pour at the Toronado tasting event. Pours super dark with no head. Cinnamon roll aroma with some vanilla and brown sugar. Tiny bit boozy, but how could it not be. What a smooth, easy drinking beer, with all things considered. Raisins and chocolate fill this beer full of flavor. So much going on here. Definitely a special beer here, and a must try for everyone.

Bottled @ Zeebra#2. 10cl sample. The aroma has vanilla and chocolate mainly, alightly boozy tones, but not suggesting 19.5%. Black coloured beer with a thin, off-white head. The taste is sweet, has vanilla, chocolate, bourbon, light roast. Medium-full bodied. Complex. Very nice!

3.8 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Thanks to nimbleprop (I think) for sharing this bad boy. Pours oily black. Nose has old leather, burnt licorice, coffee pot left on the burner too long, and of course smooth dark chocolate syrup. Taste is very sweet dark cocoa, burnt espresso, vanilla. Definitely a big beer, tastier than I expected.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
750ml bottle pours an oily black with a ring of beige head. Legs like a scotch. Nose is like rocket fuel, raw vanilla bean, and I mean nearly GREEN vanilla bean, cocoa nib, grain alcohol, toast, raisins, quite a lot of toasted wood. Flavor has maple and birch notes, smoke, cakey, chocolate, raisin, vanilla, caramel. Hot finish. What a shock there.

3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Very thick and syrupy, like most super heavy Bruery beers. Pours syrupy dark brown with amber tinge. Not much head or lacing. Tons of caramel and booze. Finishes sweet. Thanks to someone for sharing this at Gene’s 10K celebration.
