750 ml 2014 vintage bottle. Aroma is very sweet and chocolate forward with quite a but of bourbon. Hints of vanilla and marshmallow fluff. Some caramel, toffee and raisins. Light alcohol spice. Pours a dark brown but not quite black with a small, moderately thick, light mocha head that recedes fairly quickly to the edges where it lingers for a bit. Light lacing and sheets of alcohol. Flavor is very sweet with a lot of chocolate character and some light roast. Quite a bit of bourbon character as well that interacts to add faint coconut, vanilla and nuts. Some caramel and toffee with some lighter marshmallow fluff and raisins. Moderate alcohol heat with moderate bitterness. Mouthfeel is full bodied with low carbonation. Low astringency and medium alcohol warmth. Overall, an alright beer but it is very thick and syrupy. Lots of chocolate and bourbon character. This is the toughest of the big Bruery beers for me to get through.

750ml bottle via trade. Poured a lousy looking mostly flat slick black body with hardly any head. Aroma is super sweet, homey sugsr and chocolate, vanilla extract, melted chocolate. Body is fuller, syrupy, super soft carbonation and soft carbonation. Flavor is good but SWEET, loads of chocolate, some vanilla extract, hint of smoke and loads of sugar. Meh, not worth the hype.

Pours a deep brownish black from the bottle with little to no lace or head. Aroma is big boozy chocolate and vanilla, a bit of burn on the nose. Taste is chocolate out of the gate, then vanilla, the bourbon almost, roast and alcohol. Sweet and boozy, thick mouth, ceeamy, pretty darn nice.

This was a huge beer! Pours cola with light head and no lacing. Nose is super sweet, like a jersey milk bar. Flavours of molasses, milk chocolate and booze. Tastes were big huge sweet and light bitterness. Mouth was quite creamy with low carbonation. Thanks Matt!

Bottle - Vintage 2013 - Bittersweet boozy chocolate and candy sugars. Jet black/brown with a decent light brown head. Sweeeeeeeeet chocolate and some more boozy sweetness. Crazy.

750 ml bottle shared at Steve’s. Deep brown, mocha rim. Intense chocolate, molasses, some booze, a little barrel character, very sweet. Intensely sweet and boozy, lots of chocolate; sweet with tubs of booze and a sweet chocolate finish.

Bottle shared at RichTheVillan’s, 27/11/13. Huge boozy bourbon nose, chocolate, roast, vanilla too. Extremely sweet, sticky milk chocolate, more bourbon, roasty flavours, coffee, toffee and vanilla behind, but this beer is dominated by boozy bourbon and sweet chocolate. Thick, slick, sticky. Gotta say I found this hard work. Maybe 5 years on it would smooth it out, or maybe it’s just too strong?

On draft at FoBAB2014. Pours a dark blackish color with a small tan head that dissipates into a ring around the glass. Aroma of chocolate and bourbon. Flavor is extremely sweet, hot, with some chocolate notes and sugar. Flavor is all sugar, chocolate, booze. Unappetizing. Bracingly sweet. Gross. Slick bodied. My 2 ounce sample was too much.
