On tap at the Bruery’s initiation party. Sweet, buttery loads from the barrel aging. Smells great. Alchohol decently hidden under the sugar. Thick body. Low carbonation. Delicious and excellent.

Draught at the bruery. Light brown with a small head. Rich malty aro
a with caramel, bourbon and smoke. The flavor is huge but the smoke and some alcohol almost dry out the finish. Full bodied but not sticky or really mouth-coating. Cool stuff. Great blends with two turtle doves to make a "two dirty hookers".

On tap at The Bruerey Reserve Society party. Pours a copper brown color with minimal head. Aroma of light smoke, caramel and bourbon. This was a perfect smoked beer in my opinion. I hate the over-smoked ones that taste like a campfire. Tastes of light smoke, caramel, leather, bourbon and raisons. Super!

Lucky to try this one...on tap at the brewery. Pours an ugly murky brown with almost no head. Aroma is complex: alcohol, caramel, lemon, pine, smoke and some toast. Flavor is sweet with the palate having the alcohol bite but no burn. Overall its solid and no cloying which is nice for a high alcohol beer like this. Alcohol is masked well too.

Appearance: Pours a dark cranberry cocktail red with a faint tan ring.
Aroma: Toffee, caramel, dark dried fruit.
Taste: Rum raisin ice cream, plum, and burnt sugar on top of creme brulee.
Mouthfeel: Thicker than it appears.
Overall: Wow, holy crap. Amazing. I didn’t find any smokey malt notes, and while I love smokey notes, I wasn’t dissapointed at all.

UPDATED: AUG 29, 2011 Melange #5. On tap at the Bruery. Pours with a brown body and a creamy tan head. Aroma of dark fruits, currant, brandy, caramel and campfire. Taste is super rich and delicious. Lovely and very light smoke presence on the finish. Not overpowering in the slightest. Elegant in that respect. Rummy/brandy flavors from the big malty beers. Tons of rich barrel notes. Creamy and silky mouthfeel. Obviously big. Truly an excellent blend, and this is coming from someone who doesn’t enjoy smoked beers!
Had again at Woodshop #6 as Dirty Beaver Juice (bottle...didn’t know that any bottles were made). Same score, wonderful beer with just the right amount of smoke.

On tap at Beachwood BBQ, this beer has a huge bourbon/smokey flavor and nose, but it’s not over the top. It’s really tasty and unique. I enjoyed it.
