4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Sampled on 3/31/2012. This spice ale pours a yellow gold color from a 750ml bottle. Medium to large sized white foamy head, with good retention and nice lacing. A medium bodied spiced ale. He malts are fruity and sweet, with a touch of citrus. The hops are herbal and spicy. Lots of different spices at play here. A nice golden ale, apricot and peaches with some pepper, some spiciness, some citrus, and some dryness. An interesting combination of flavors. Nice carbonation. An interesting blend of flavors and spices. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Hazy orange/golden with a large fizzy head that settles after a minute or so. Aroma is a bit subdued but includes notes of spice, oak, and sour funk. Flavor is bolder than the aroma with notes of tropical fruits and tartness.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
A: Hazy Orangish/Golden Straw Hue, Passes Some Light, White Head Ring, Minimal Lacing
S: Corriander, White Pepper, Peaches
T: Oranges, Corriander, White Pepper
M: Decent Carbonation, Light to Medium Bodied, Semi Spicy, Mildly Drying
Overall, an okay collaberation beer...I guess I would have expected more from two great brewers. I see a lot of DFh in this beer and not enough Bruery.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
750 ml bottle
Digging this out of the cellar I discovered a beer that was respectable. Even so I wish I had learned my lesson and passed. Neither the Bruery or Dogfish Head are high on my purchase list. Somehow though this found its way into my shopping basket. Hopefully it is the last I find.
Aroma / Appearance - A golden rosy base sparkles with carbonation over a bright white head. Spices and oranges blend with pepers, lemons, and cheap reisling. It does not feel as big or bold as expected.
Flavor / Palate - Spiced rum, apple sauce, and sweet oranges tickle the palate. There does not seem to be as much depth as anticipated. It is easy to drink but that just makes the bottle go away faster. Overall I would recommend opening any bottles you have then being glad to have the free space in your cellar.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
750ml bottle. Pours a slightly hazy golden orange color with a two finger, frothy white head that immediately settles into a thin ring. Spicy aroma that’s slightly earthy with lots of estery fruit and sweet citrus notes. Flavor begins with a real zesty, citrusy buzz. Mildly and flavorfully bitter through the middle. Finishes quite dry with a little bit of an alcohol kick. The finish is subtly like a sake. Medium-light body with medium-high, lively carbonation.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Clear straw pour with bright white head. Semi fruity peachy apricot notes. Very large effervescence. Kinda wheaty. Not particularly my fave bruery brew, but not horrible.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
750 ml bottle from STLWill- thanks again, Will! Pours a bright golden color with a big white head and just a little bit of straw haze. Notes of apricot, tangerine, ginger, grapes, sweet and doughy malts, funk, and sugar. Light-medium bodied, with low carbonation and a coating mouthfeel. It’s funny, this is the kind of beer I’d expect from a collaboration between these two; interesting, maybe a little too much going on that doesn’t all come together perfectly, but not bad.
