COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Filmishmish, an Arabic term for “when the apricots bloom”, is a barrel aged sour blonde ale to which apricots have been added. The beer’s already fruity esters are enhanced by the hint of fresh apricot jam and wood shavings. Filmishmish is a well balanced beer, keeping the apricot and oak character present, but putting the flavor of the well formed sour ale at the forefront.

A - pours clear apricot with no head. S - interesting. Finally a different bruery sour. Reminiscent of other apricot sours I've had. Honey, dried apricots, vinegar, brown sugar, light chemical notes. M - medium body. Subtle tartness balanced with nice sweetness. Dry ending. T - dried apricots, tart orange juice and honey up front. Malty sweet middle. Canned peach juice and tart lemon juice. Dry end. O - nice apricot sour from the bruery. Mellow and balanced with just the right amount I sour. 3.9

Clear orange gold in color, more hazy towards the end of the bottle... Aroma of tart citrus fruits, apricots... Flavor is initially salty and unripe apricots, intensely tart up front, gives way to light oak on the palate... Not terribly complex, but really enjoyable nonetheless ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

750mL. Full haze peach pour. Juicy sharp peach nose. Taste is salty, bright, juicy. Heavy wood finish. Very good actually. Impressive. Clean, simple peach sour. I’m told it has improved since it was released.

Bottle shared at a local tasting, pours a hazy yellowish golden with a thick head and some lacing in the glass, the aroma has a good amount of dryness and brett with a little bit of funk, the flavor has quite a bit of fruit on the front end, funk and sourness in the finish, good carbonation and mouthfeel.

Another in the seemingly endless Bruery product line of "sours which prove it’s hard to make sours that aren’t at least very solid." The apricots don’t come through nearly as much as in the far superior Cascade version, but the beer still tastes pretty damn good.
