3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle courtesy of womencantsail (I think.) Thanks! Reviewed from notes.
A: Clear apricot color. No head and some bubbles randomly shoot upwards.
N: Apricots, mandarins, lemon, acetic acid. Has a sharp nuttiness in addition to the grass/straw elements which I attribute to the oak. Some funk.
T: Apricot, oranges, and sour lemon zest. Grainy wood. This is definitely souring up to a sharp point while the fruit declines. Not sure thatís a good thing. Acetic and lactic, but not unpleasant. Liked this better when it was fresh on tap. Grass, straw, no barnyard funk.
M: Light on the tongue. Think is this the most noteworthy aspect of the beer. Too many heavy sours.
O: Recommendable but itís far better fresh. Will probably re-review when itís released again.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
23rd November 2012
THE Fruit Sour tasting. Very hazy orange beer, residual white head. Light palate, dry and crisp. Whisper of sulphur on the nose! Sour tart beer! White wine sourness with tart generic fruits. As with many fruits sours I am hard pressed to tell what the fruits are through the sourness. Itís okay.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle pour. Slightly hazy gold, with very little head, and no lacing. Aroma is belgian yeast, lactic sourness, light white stone fruit, slightly lemony. Taste falls a bit flat for me, but I have been spoiled by more jammy apricot sours of late. Fairly acidic, with a bit of a wood presence as well. Slightly thin/weak finish.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Lovely nose, tart apricot abound. Taste is somewhat less than the nose would let on. Subtle, but nice. Just not a knock you in the face sour. I would like to have a bottle all to myself though!

3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pour out of 750 mL bottle, hazy orange pour with thin white head, aroma brought notes of sour apricot, touch of oak, vanilla, hints of grain, malic acid, some lactic notes, slight funk. Taste is a mix of tart lemon, apricot, malic, some slight lactic hints of acetic, finishing fairly sour, slightly oaky.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle at The Fruit Sour Tasting, London - thanks to Ken. Pours cloudy yellow-gold with a fine, white film head. Mild dry apricot nose, good suggestions of tartness. Light to medium sweet flavor, big tart apricot character, quite fresh. Light to medium bodied with fine carbonation. Well and tart to finish, clean, with restrained apricot notes. Good.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle shared by drabmuh. Thanks Matt.
The beer is a straw yellow color, appearing hazy. There is virtually no head, just a few scattered bubbles. The scent is of musty apricots, yeast, and a mild funk presence. Decent enough beer. Apricot presence is there, but the flavor falls short of greatness. Carbonation level is a bit low, but otherwise the feel is pretty good. Mild tartness and acidity. Overall, good but not great. Still, itís always nice to enjoy an apricot sour ale.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle @ The fruit sour tasting. Cheers, Ken! The pourís medium hazy gold with a small head. The nose is mild melon, citrus, barnyard funkiness. The taste is much the same - plenty of orchard fruits, barnyard, strong tart acidity. Mildly sweet finish. Aggressive profile. Overall, not bad, but a bit one-dimensional.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle thanks to Ken at THE fruit sour tasting. It pours cloudy light orange with a thin white film. The nose is lightly sour, lemon, sweet apricot, vanilla, toasted coconut and subtle sulphur. The taste is sour apricot, lemon, sherbet, grapefruit and a hint of wood with a pleasantly tart finish. Medium body and effervescent carbonation. Well balanced. A tasty apricot sour.

Nice sour ale that was more tart than overly sour and funky. Definitely notes of apricots and tart lemon. A bit of jammy fruit. Not my favorite but very good and pleasantly drinkable.
