3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle, shared at RBAG 2015 by Kevin. Dark brown, short lived head. Sweet treacle, fusles. Hot alcoholic palate with nutty dark caramel, dark fruity undertones, warming/hot finish. Firm carbo for such a sticky high ABV brew.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
2014 bottle. Black with a fleeting brown head, then nothing. There is a blast of hazelnut aroma upon opening. Lots of bourbon and chocolate fudge too. Taste is on the sweet and syrupy side, but manageable. Faint dark fruits beneath the dark chocolate malty onslaught. Taste only has a slight hazelnut note. Doesn’t feel as strong as 18%, but sneaks up on you. A bit too sweet and not enough hazelnut for me to really enjoy it.

4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle shared with koleminer20. 2013 vintage, 18.25% ABV. Aroma is dark fruit, roasted malt, hazelnut, vanilla, coffee, booze. Appearance is dark brown, not a great pour, light brown head. Taste is sweet malt, vanilla, hazelnut, chocolate, oh so sweet. Mouthfeel is a touch light, decent carbonation, oily but not as thick as it could be. Overall, it’s not as good as expected but still pretty good.

4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
Another one made from BT, and this can’t be bad if you like the main beer. Can’t say it’s better with the addition, but for sure it still is tasty as hell.

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle. Opaque black liquid with small to medium tan head. Aroma of chocolate, raw sugar, sweet booze, licorice, bourbon, dried fruit and nuts. Taste is medium to high sweet and light bitter with notes of chocolate, vanilla, raw sugar and hot alcohol. Full bodied with low to medium carbonation. Really good but of course overly sweet. Not that much hazelnut flavour.

4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Bottle @ THLBBT May, thnx to bytemesis for sending this my way. Pours a clear dark brown beer with a small, quickly disappearing beige head on top. Aroma of bourbon, hazelnuts, booze, roast, caramel, some molasses and woods. Very complex. The flavor has all the components needed for a powerful stout, sweet chocolate nutty influences, bourbon notes, a touch of vanilla and a nice, full bodied, strong aftertaste with a good alcohol burn in the back. Medium level of carbonation, greatly balanced and an incredible beer!

Flavour is heavy sweet with a hugely warming alcohol palate and a moderately chewy mouthfeel. Full bodied with soft carbonation.
