75cl bottle, shared with Mathieu87. Note that the wax around the bottle is hazelnut infused, very nice, but really necessary? APPEARANCE: black beer, little to no foam. NOSE: bourbon, very sweet, alcohol, hazelnut is not really noticeable in the nose. TASTE: bourbon, sweet, hazelnut is present now! Chocolate-like, alcohol warming feeling all the way. Very nice beer and absolutely enjoyable!

Big thanks to tectactoe on the split. Big strong bourbon and hazelnut aroma. Sweet and strong at the same time. Really good chocolate and nutty flavor. Really good stuff.

Bottle, shared by Tim. Thanks! Pours dark brown with a very small head that lingers a bit. Aromas are sweet chocolate syrup, hazelnuts, caramel, vanilla, and oak. Taste is moderately sweet. Starts with lots of hazelnut and chocolate which develops into caramel, bourbon, and vanilla. Coating mouthfeel. Medium to thick body. Very intense beer but you still wouldn’t guess it’s 19% because it’s very smooth.

Aroma of bourbon, vanilla, oak, hazelnuts, roasted malts... Deep black in color, with minimal tan head that quickly dissipates... Flavor is Black Tuesday malt sweetness, that finishes with very prevalent hazelnut, vanilla, chocolate on the palate.... Amazingly good ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Courtesy of TimBottle: The aroma consists of a chocolate, vanilla, bourbon, coconut, alcohol, and faint hazelnut. It pours a dark brown with no transparency and a minimal beige head that quickly fades to a very fine ring. The flavor starts with moderate chocolate and light hazelnuts. The finish has vanilla, light bourbon, alcohol, and some faint roasted nuts. It’s medium-full bodied with soft carbonation and mouthfeel. Overall, very tasty, but small doses is key. Nip bottles would be more appropriate.

I brought this one to our monthly tasting last night, 2013 bottle.

A - Pours pitch black with a small half finger tall tan head, quickly dissipating down to next to nothing, leaving very small trails of lace on the sides of the glass.

S - Smells of intense sugary sweetness, fresh roasted hazelnuts, bakers chocolate, vanilla, molasses, dark fruits, charred wood and plenty of warming bourbon. All of the aromas I expected are present and it smells just as sweet as I thought it would.

T - Starts off with the intense sweetness - mainly chocolate, vanilla, dark fruits and molasses - quickly being joined by the hazelnuts, charred wood and warming bourbon burn. Finish is really sweet with some mild booze burn, lingering long after the finish.

M - Heavy body with moderate carbonation. Huge, sweet feel from start to finish makes it hard to consume more than a few ounces in a sitting.

O - A really nice rift on regular Black Tuesday. We drank this one right after a Chocolate Rain and I think I actually prefer that one to this, but only by a small margin. Looking forward to seeing how this one ages over the next few years.

Very weird hazy black but with brown side tones. seems incomplete like lots of sediment. Nose is nice. Just a crap load of hazelnut like way more than I’ve ever picked up in a beer. Chocolate all there. like a candy coffee taste. The ABV is very well hidden..ooh the finish has a lot of burn though. wow. the nuttiness is like sweet pecans or walnuts..obviously hazelnut but it’s a very nutty beer. Lots of vanilla. dark fruits. creamy lactose

750 ml bottle form Reserve Society. Nose is lots of hazelnuts, walnuts and barrel loads of bourbon. Flavor is chocolate, hazel nuts, huge bourbon notes that have only a slight alcohol burn after the sip. No harshness in flavor or over sweetness. Medium in body leaning on the full side. Carbonation gives a velvet smoothness to the stout. I cant believe that this is over 19 %? 19%, really? Damn, I cant find ABV in this brew. Crazy. The alcohol only make itself known well after the sip and only after I get through 9 oz. of this brew. Really nice warming sensation and a damn nice sipping Bourbon stout. Unreal.
