Had this and Mocha Wednesday on the same day with friends. Pours dark with very short lived head. Smells delicious, lots of vanilla, a little hazelnut, you can tell it will be very sweet. Boozy flavor, not a lot of nuts but plenty of the regular BT taste in there. Great beer but it´s way too big, 125ml bottles would be so much easier.

Bottle at a tasting at Butler's place. Pours dark brown with a very thin head. Aroma is dark fruits. Flavor is really sweet with lots of hazelnuts. Good bit of booze. Slight burn. Great beer. Thanks to Butler!! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle at home with my dad. Pour is deep brown with a small tan head and good lacing. Sweet nutty aroma - vanilla, light cocoa, bourbon coconut, some wood notes and a hint of spice. Taste is big coconut, sweet vanilla, some toffee, caramelized sugars, brown sugar, nutty, cocoa nibs and light soy with a hint of alcohol on the finish. Slick mouthfeel with soft carbonation. Sweet, yet decently balanced with booze. Still a little over the top for me.

Bottle share. 09/24/13. Great legs on the glass. Aroma of liquid brown, maple, sweet coffee and slight amount of dark chocolate. So sweet, but so sweet. Crazy smooth, and surprisingly easy to drink. Liquid ice cream.

Bottle opened up at the 2014 Ottawa End of Year Gathering. Dark mahogany with no head. Woody, nutty (although not overwhelmingly hazelnut), booze, leather, oak, mild carbonation and full body with boozy and sweet finish. Not sure I’d want too much of this but was ok in small doses. Best quote of the night goes to Karl - "I love nuts in my mouth".

Bottle. Big boozy nose of oak, vanilla, and hazelnuts. Rich and sweet body, booze, oak, and nutella. I’m not sure that the hazelnuts are truly the best way to show the underlying flavors of the beer, but they meld well into the profile.

Tasting at daks, no no no no, completely undrinkable, sugar and ash. Oh and tons of booze. Couldn’t even take a sip

Bottle to glass. Pours a deep brown to black color with little to no tan head. Aroma is huge roasted malts, booze, hazelnuts. Flavor packs an even bigger roasted malts, hazelnuts, alcohol burn. Lingering sweet nutty character with a massive alcohol burn. Phenomenal! I wish it was just a bit more drinkable.

From notes. This was shared at a tasting put on by @mikem409 on November 7. The pour is an opaque light black with a small dark khaki ring of head and no lace. The aroma is big on booze immediately. Thee is a lot of chocolate, some great vanilla and barrel characters, coupled with a light nuttiness. I suppose I was expecting a little more on that. It’s almost a bit sweeter than I was expecting as well. The flavor has quite a bit more of a bourbon aspect to it, but is not too much. There is a good combination of dark fruits and adequate roastiness in the flavor that doesn’t take away from the beer, but I think might from the nuttiness. The mouth feel is excellent. There is a great thickness with a lighter carbonation. It just clings to the mouth and hangs around. There is a good booziness here as well. I was expecting a little more, but it’s really good.

Bottle: Poured a deep brown color ale with a medium size foamy head with good retention and some light lacing. Aroma of black chocolates and hazelnut are pretty interesting with light vanilla notes also noticeable. Taste is a very nice mix of chocolate and hazelnut notes with balanced residual sugar level which is usually not a strong point for the Bruery. Body is full enough with good carbonation and light warming alcohol. I really enjoyed this beer and I was surprised by the fact that it is quite drinkable considering the ABV and the base beer.
