Had a side by side on Black Tuesday, chocolate rain, and grey Monday. This is by far the best of the three. Still sweet, but not to bad. Very delicious.

Loved this beer.
Aroma was full of molasses, dark fruit, chocolate.
Appearance was darn near black with ribbons of burgundy.
Taste was excellent, although I wish I hadn’t let the bottle sit for so long. It really lost a good deal of the macadamia nut flavor, but it remained sweet. Very little ethanol considering the ABV. Perfectly warming. Body was big, lush, velvety.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 JohnnyJ (3532) - San Diego, California, USA - APR 2, 2013
Bottle. Dark, viscous reddish brown pour, with a thin almost zero head. Huge syrupy sweetness, chocolate, bourbon, vanilla, molasses, and light notes of nuts. A real sugary sipper for sure, with boozy warmth. The main contribution of the hazel nuts was making this beer quite a bit smoother than the reg BT, which I had side by side. Good, amazing how strong this beer is.
4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 jbeatty (505) - New York, USA - MAR 28, 2013
Bottle, 03/28/2013. Pours black and thick, minimal tan head, small ring of lacing. Aroma is dark chocolate brownie batter, vanilla and marshmallow, strong bourbon, alcohol in your face threatening to dominate, raisin liqueur, nutty finish. Taste is a big improvement: smooth, sweet chocolate molasses and big hazlenut notes, touch of roast trying to get through, bourbon, a touch of heat though not nearly like the nose, aftertaste is nutty, buttery caramel. Heavy, creamy palate. Well this is really nice, enjoyed in small doses, and better IMO than the more recent, fresher batches of Black Tuesday.
4.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 illidurit (1629) - Santa Cruz, California, USA - MAR 23, 2013
Bottle shared at the March tasting in Santa Cruz. Pours brown with a light tan head. Big rich brownie aroma with some apparent heat. Flavor is a concentrated maple syrup blast, with port grapes, deep chocolate notes, and not nearly as much booziness as the aroma would suggest. Also much milder than plain ol’ Black Tuesday. Not a whole lot of nuttiness to me, but it is somewhat creamy and smooth compared to BT. Nice beer.
4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20 tkrjukoff (3360) - SWEDEN - MAR 16, 2013
Sample @ Hunahpu’s day. Pours pitch black with a tiny tanned head. Aroma is boozy slightly sweet some raisins nutty chocolate vanilla. Flavor is fullbodied smooth bourbony vanilla nutty toasted bready roasted a bit raisiny and nicely bitter. Very nice indeed.
