Loved this beer. Aroma was full of molasses, dark fruit, chocolate. Appearance was darn near black with ribbons of burgundy. Taste was excellent, although I wish I hadnít let the bottle sit for so long. It really lost a good deal of the macadamia nut flavor, but it remained sweet. Very little ethanol considering the ABV. Perfectly warming. Body was big, lush, velvety.

750 ml bottle shared with drsordr (also a few other times from notes). Pours dark brown to black in color with a small khaki colored head. The aroma and flavor have big sweet malts, caramel, molasses, chocolate, some hazelnut manages to sneak through, bourbon, dark fruit, boozy, big beer.

Very good, not great. My third favorite hazelnut beer, after Nooner 8 and Nutuhlu. Itís a bit thin and sweet like all Bruery beers, but the flavors are nice.

As a wise man once said: "itís my most favouriteist" ;) Huge beer, thick mouthfeel, well hidden alcohol, loads of hazelnuts, bourbon, silky smooth vanilla and with that perfect soft summer abv.

Bottle shared by alexsdad06 pour opaque black with thin tan head. Nose sweet malt, soy sauce, molasses. Taste big sweet flavors up front, chocolate, light roast, but mostly big sweet mess. Not sure I can pick out the hazelnut from the base. Big desert beer. Nice thick mouth feel.

2015 bottle. Pours black with small tan head that diminishes to nothing. The aroma is strong bourbon, wood, chocolate, hazelnut. Thick, chewy, boozy, dark fruit, wood, overly sweet but very good.

I think for me I am just lost on imperial barrel aged beers. This bottle poured pitch black with aromas of chocolate, and other roasty goodness. Flavor was more of the same with a nice boozy character shining through. There was alot going on in this beer. It was good, just not necessarily my favorite style which may have made it less enjoyable for me.

Murky deep brown in color. Super sticky sweet syrupy with a boozy finish. Walnut and maple syrup aroma. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
