Loved this beer. Aroma was full of molasses, dark fruit, chocolate. Appearance was darn near black with ribbons of burgundy. Taste was excellent, although I wish I hadnít let the bottle sit for so long. It really lost a good deal of the macadamia nut flavor, but it remained sweet. Very little ethanol considering the ABV. Perfectly warming. Body was big, lush, velvety.

Location: Bottle shared by dbarnold, 9/26/14

Aroma: The nose is bourbon/booze, vanilla, some chocolate, and nutty notes
Appearance: It pours a dark brown color with a fairly thin head and some light lacing
Flavor: The taste is rich and sweet, fairly complex, with lots of vanilla and bourbon flavors
Palate: The body is rather full, with a sticky feel, and a whole lot of heat throughout the palate
Overall Impression: This is a well-made beer, but it is just too hot right now. It would probably improve with some age, but right now, the boozy flavor is too strong.

Had it a day after having Black Tuesday. This one was not that sweet with a more earthy feeling to it. Also a bit more balanced. Hazelnuts were present only in the aftertaste. Definitely a sipper.

Bottle. Pours black with tan head. Aroma is sweet, brown sugar, lots if vanilla. Taste is very sweet, smooth. This beer is fantastic!

750mL bottle, pours black with a small beige head. Aroma brings out bourbon barrels, toasted hazelnuts, cocoa and vanilla. Flavour is surprisingly not a diabetes bomb, with bourbon, vanilla, moderate alcohol and toasted nuts. Somehow this isnít cloyingly sweet like Black Tuesday and Chocolate Rain, though it gets sweeter and sweeter with every sip. Finishes with notes of orangey chocolate, with a boozy burn. Quite nice in very small amounts - my favourite of their stupid high ABV impie stouts, but thatís not saying much.

Black with a good beige head. Aroma is hazelnut, bourbon, chocolate, raisins, dates, booze. Full bodied, slick mouthfeel, sweet on the palate with a slightly boozy, warming finish. Taste is chocolate, hazelnut, bourbon, vanilla, brown sugar.

"Close to Black Tuesday, very sweet and bourbony with some chocolate and roast, with the addition of ample roasted hazelnuts in the nose and flavor. Not really better or worse, but a nice change up. Great beer, not quite black. Still think 13-15% would be better than 18-19, but whatíd ya gonna do?"

Aroma of Tuaca and Ameretto. Exceelent initial thick rich malts with nutty chocolate character. The alcohol heat stays through exquisetly. Finishes with slight nutty anise and scothy oak. mGreat

Bottle from homer321. Thanks! Split two ways. This is a heavy hitter to say the least. Pours a thick dark brown with almost no head. Aromas of boozy bourbon, peanut butter, booze. Taste is sweet and very hot. Flavors of bourbon, marshmallow, coconut, peanuts, booze. Diabetes in a glass, this one delivers. Wowza.

From a bottle...Thank you Joetheyounger. The pour brown red with minimum white head. Now I love stout and this is amazing for high abv. Candied sugar bourbon, Chocolate, and dark fruit, and slight hazelnut.
