Nose of hazelnuts, bourbon and chocolate and alcohol. Pour is thinner than expected. Head is gone instantly, but leaves a thin ring all the way down the glass. Taste is sweet with slight notes of hazelnut chocolate brownie and a small amount of bourbon. Lingers forever on the palate with roundness from the high abv, whisk is the best part of this beer.

Creamy dark pour with light tan head. Thick chewy stout with lots of creaminess from the hazelnuts. It’s like coffee with extra cream just how I like it.

Flaska 2013. (Thanks biggsbowler). Blytung motorolja i upphällningen.

750 ml. bottle. Pours almost black with a very small beige head. Aroma of bourbon, malt, chocolate, and nuts. Taste is bourbon, roasted malt, chocolate, hazelnuts, vanilla, and brown sugar. Great to sip on.

750 pulled out tonight by Syndicate!! Darrel wields the beer penis tonight!! Pours thick and black (as expected) head is short lived.. nothing when it comes to lacing or retention. Nose is very nice... oaky chocolate with tons of barrel presence.. Unfortunately for me, the nut presence is very artificial.. Not "nutty" but extract... Not necessarily a bad thing, but it definitely could be less extract forward. Grey Monday is everything that all the huge ABV Bruery beers deliver on... big vanilla and chocolate.. oak and hazelnut candy... I dig it for sure, but it is an ABV and sugar bomb that isn’t good at all when delivered in a single glass.. Too sweet and the hazelnut extract is an error that I expect from Mr. Rue. Glad I got a chance to try this one... Seriously.. Darrel is an animal!! But for my palate, Grey Monday/Black Tuesday/Chocolate Rain are Diabeetus bottles.

750ml bottle in a teku. Pours black with a small, beige head. Aroma of bourbon and oak, chocolate and roasted malts, some hazelnuts, sweetness, vanilla, and some alcohol. Flavor the same with a lot of bourbon and nuttiness but a little too sweet for my liking. Thick texture. A cool beer but I could never drink a lot of it.

Location: Bottle shared by dbarnold, 9/26/14

Aroma: The nose is bourbon/booze, vanilla, some chocolate, and nutty notes
Appearance: It pours a dark brown color with a fairly thin head and some light lacing
Flavor: The taste is rich and sweet, fairly complex, with lots of vanilla and bourbon flavors
Palate: The body is rather full, with a sticky feel, and a whole lot of heat throughout the palate
Overall Impression: This is a well-made beer, but it is just too hot right now. It would probably improve with some age, but right now, the boozy flavor is too strong.

Had it a day after having Black Tuesday. This one was not that sweet with a more earthy feeling to it. Also a bit more balanced. Hazelnuts were present only in the aftertaste. Definitely a sipper.

Bottle. Pours black with tan head. Aroma is sweet, brown sugar, lots if vanilla. Taste is very sweet, smooth. This beer is fantastic!

750mL bottle, pours black with a small beige head. Aroma brings out bourbon barrels, toasted hazelnuts, cocoa and vanilla. Flavour is surprisingly not a diabetes bomb, with bourbon, vanilla, moderate alcohol and toasted nuts. Somehow this isn’t cloyingly sweet like Black Tuesday and Chocolate Rain, though it gets sweeter and sweeter with every sip. Finishes with notes of orangey chocolate, with a boozy burn. Quite nice in very small amounts - my favourite of their stupid high ABV impie stouts, but that’s not saying much.
