4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Black pour with no head. Tastes like Black Tuesday with a nutty flavor. The addition of the hazelnuts smoothed out the regular BT and reduced the heat. Very nice.

4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle thanks to Madirish76:   Immediate nose of alcoholic Nutella.   Strong Hazelnut aroma, also alcohol and some dark chocolate.   Nearly black, sudsy beige head, little lacing.   Very warming on the tongue.   Comes across as a Nutella Cognac of sorts.   Very tasty, warming, but not as thick or chewy as I would have hoped.   However, at 18% its not overly sweet which is nice.   Big alcoholic finish, with hazelnuts, some chocolate covered cherries, and some more alcohol.   Despite the alcohol, this one was a great sipper.   Thanks Rob!

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle shared by Tommy! thanks bro. Second time trying this, first time in which i could actually think and use my brain. This was MUCH better than I ever expected it could be. A little overly sweet for my tastes, but it had much more flavor than I remember (or don’t). Nice nose with some hazelnut, nutella, cocoa, light brandy, and chocolate covered espresso beans. Flavor is similar, albeit a bit on the sweet side. I enjoyed this much more than black tuesday—though i did like the BT bottle we had later in the night much more than my previous experience with it so maybe this beer is growing on me.

4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
On tap at Fort George Brewing’s Dark Arts Festival. Colour...jet black with a thick tan head. Nose...brimming with dark chocolate, hazelnut paste, boozy goodness and hazelnut infused creme de cacao. Palate...massively sweet and cloying with even more chocolate than was offered on the nose! The booze is quite prevalent and remains throughout the palate. Roasted hazelnuts and burnt cocoa paste roll all over the tongue and the sweetness does not give up. Some dry oakiness hits the soft palate before the lengthy, siropy finish.

4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle brought to poker from RS membership. Aroma is milk chocolate and hazelnuts. Flavor has less hazelnut and is very sweet, similar to Chocolate Rain. Carbonation is limited to the sip on the way down, as there is no retention. Man, these beers are good, but only in limited quantity. They’re like a rich chocolate ganache. Excellent beer.

75cl bottle, shared with Mathieu87.
Note that the wax around the bottle is hazelnut infused, very nice, but really necessary?
APPEARANCE: black beer, little to no foam.
NOSE: bourbon, very sweet, alcohol, hazelnut is not really noticeable in the nose.
TASTE: bourbon, sweet, hazelnut is present now! Chocolate-like, alcohol warming feeling all the way.
Very nice beer and absolutely enjoyable!

4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle, shared by Tim. Thanks! Pours dark brown with a very small head that lingers a bit. Aromas are sweet chocolate syrup, hazelnuts, caramel, vanilla, and oak. Taste is moderately sweet. Starts with lots of hazelnut and chocolate which develops into caramel, bourbon, and vanilla. Coating mouthfeel. Medium to thick body. Very intense beer but you still wouldn’t guess it’s 19% because it’s very smooth.
