3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Murky amber with a cream head. Nose is acetate, faint strawberries, barn, super farmhouse. Easy palate, tart, acidic, bugs, yeast, wood, and easy finish.

1.4 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 4/20
26th June 2013
Craft Clerkenwell Tasting. Cloudy light brown beer. Good pale cream coloured head. Smell pretty grim! Sweaty socks! Bleh! Palate is light and dry. Taste pretty much follows the nose but add dusty strawberry. Finishes dry. A stinker. As a Bruery advocate - I feel let down here!

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
This one is pretty bizarre. I like the aroma, the strawberries come through nicely although with a bit of plasticky phenol. Flavor is strawberry yogurt with a pervasive parmesan cheese note... Maybe as a slight accent that would be okay but it’s too forward to ignore.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle split at Craft Clerko, big thanks to Kenneth, 26/06/13.
Murky orange amber akin to the canal that runs through Kidsgrove, thin white head that makes the call to escape out of the glass via the edge.
Nose is pungent fruits, plastic, rotting pond life with a strawberry bobbing atop.
Taste comprises strawberry bubblegum, tarte berry fruits, blast of dirty funk, plastic, light throat scraping balsams, grassy notes, dank wood dragged through the pond.
Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, tarte finish.
Not a looker, doesn’t smell too good, tastes ok if somewhat a one trick pony - hmmm, not a revisit for this one, you might want to take a detour to avoid too long a trip on Ichigo Highway!!!

1.9 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Bottle shared @ Craft. Cheers to the unstoppable Madmitch76 for the pour. The appearance is hazy amber, small head. Ugly looking beer. The nose is fart, laundry detergent. Acetic funk. Not inviting. The taste is acetone, nail polish remover. Light acetic funk. Some berry and orchard fruit. Weird, harsh. Medium body, fine carbonation. Overall, a real fiasco. Not great.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle shared at CBC Clerkenwell - ’’thanks’’ to Ken. Pours murky orange with a quickly-fading cream head. Smells of stinky Danish cheese (which ranks among the stinkiest of cheeses, mind you), rotten strawberries, sour fruits. Light sweet flavor with heavy sourness, some funk, vinegar, acetic burn, dry and leathery fruits. Light bodied with fine to average carbonation. Sour finish with more leathery fruits, sweat, moderate acid burn. So so. It looks bad and smells worse, but the flavor saves the beer ever so slightly.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draft at the source. Cloudy maroon briwn color, off white head. Aroma of sour berries. Taste is similar, with a touch of sweet fruitiness at the start. Nice.

3.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Poured into a tulip.
3.0 A: Deeply hazed, near murky plum color. Fizzy off-white head falls as quickly as it forms.
4.5 S: Nice aroma on this. Lots of strawberry and a pleasant tartness. Red grape adds another layer of complexity underneath. Funk nicely balances the tartness and sourness. Musty funk with dry rotten sweatsocks and pollen-filled air from a wildflower field. Good mixture of aromas with strawberry leading the pack.
3.5 T: The taste does not encompass the power of the strawberries found in the nose, but that’s usually the case with fruit sours. The more important issue is that there isn’t a whole lot of flavor overall. Acetic and tart, but on the tamer side of what the Bruery usually puts out. Strawberry and grape fruitiness is found here. Mild musty funk featuring the flavors found in the nose. It’s tasty, but I keep wanting more complexity and more power from what is there. The malts are doughy and probably more doughy than any other sour I’ve ever had. Hints of tannic astringency.
3.0 M: Medium to heavier medium body. Carbonation is fine, but on the lower end of normal. Lacking spritziness and a bit chewy as opposed to creamy.
3.5 D: Great nose and worth a try, but it’s not very impressive overall.
