COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewed in memory of my Grandparents (Fred and Sarah Hottenroth), this tart German-style Berliner Weisse is as authentic as it gets. We used lactobacillus and a hint of brettanomyces to sour this very unusual, low gravity wheat beer. To cut the tartness for those with sweeter tastes, raspberry or woodruff syrup is a traditional way to sweeten the beer. Almost an extinct style, we hope to help revive the Berliner Weisse in memory of two great people (ABV 3.1%, IBU 2, SRM 2, Format 30L kegs).

Bottle. The pour is a hazy yellow. The aroma is a mix of a sour and wheat. The taste is sour up front. A little too bitter. A very unusual taste, not quite a sour, not quite a wheat. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Syrlig duft av høy og gjær. Dunkel lys gulbrun farge. Tynt dekkende hvitt skum. Sterk syrlid smak av lime og salt. Meget spesielt øl, ikke noe å drikke i mengder, men en øl en kveld innimellom går fint.

"bretty aroma exploded out of the bottle as soon as i opened it. damn. light fruits. a little musty...barnayard. complex and super flavorful as well. tart...not quite sour. very light. this has got to be a summer regular in the house. would pair incredibly well with grilled chicken, fish, etc... follow ups not as vibrant or impressive. originally 4.2.

Perfect beer and I love them sours. This one is no exception, sour slight hay and sweet cherry. Very nice phenols, wheat comes through as well. I would highly recommend!!!

750ml bottle. Hazy, orangey golden colour with huge, frothy, collapsing, white head. Spicy and minimally herbal yeasty aroma with a fruity touch of peach. Taste is mildly tart, herbal yeasty, a even more ’backgroundish’ touch of peach.

Lemon, crackery malt, raw wheat/grainy finish. Simple, refreshing, well executed Berliner
