Draft at DoG Street Pub. Amber pour with a short white head. Aroma is hoppy and floral with citrus notes and toasted malt. Taste is big floral hops, citrus fruit, toasted malt, tropical fruit and soft pine. Body is medium-full with a moderate bubbly carbonation. Ends with more caramel, toasted malt, citrus fruit, tropical fruit, pine notes and floral hops.

Draft: Whole lemon and orange peel nose, fresh. Clear amber, medium head, abundant carnonation erupting from the bottom of the glass. An intensely fresh and juicy punch of tangerine and lemon initially, giving way to orange peel. Lager? Outstanding, although not within guidelines, example of the style.
4.6 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20 thetmaxx (673) - West Sacramento, California, USA - FEB 24, 2013
On tap at the shack for Sacramento beer week. Aroma is very hoppy. Nice earthy and citrus hop flavor. Being a lager the hops are very bright. Palate is clean and finishes witha long bitterness/oily. Nice head and lacing. Pretty clear pour. Overall delicious, the bruery never disappoints!
4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20 boFNjackson (3629) - Portland, Oregon, USA - FEB 24, 2013
Tap @ The BeerMongers... Poured vibrant golden/yellow with a thick forming white head. Nice retention and lacing. Nose had big floral and spicy hops. Great mouthfeel, perfect amount if carbonation. Big hop spicing and bitterness and enough malt sweetness to balance it. Bordering an IPA with bitterness and hoppiness, but a clean lager finish made it awesome.
3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 calbeers (9) - - JAN 24, 2013 does not count
On tap at Library Ale House in Santa Monica. Nice golden pour into a tulip. Small fluffy head faded quickly. Amazing aroma for a lager. Smells more like a citrus hoppy IPA. Taste is a perfect blend of lager with spicy citrus hops. Crisp and bubbly with a great bitter finish. Can't taste the 7%. I really like this unique tasting brew.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 JCB (3859) - Durham, North Carolina, USA - JAN 8, 2013
On tap at Father’s Office, Santa Monica. Certainly a fairly standard lager pour, albeit a bright, brimful, and healthy one. But a quick snort reveals a pungent hoppy brew that balances pine and dry lager notes nicely in the nose. Lively mouthfeel, clean and dry throughout on the palate. Strong citrus comes through in the taste, and while it’s certainly balanced enough in all the appropriate ways, this grapefruity, spicy brew is proudly and satisfyingly bitter.
3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 thome50 (627) - Boringville aka Irvine, California, USA - JAN 5, 2013
Draft. Had this countless times, just rating it. Seems to have gotten worse over the years. The Bruery’s IPA. Pours a golden orange with medium head that retains fairly well. Aroma is pretty spot on for resinous hops, cinnamon, hay and slight citrus. Taste is earthy, dirt, bland, lemon zest, soap. Overall, a nice change of pace from the usual stuff here and I find myself coming back to it but nothing that I really need to wish they bottle anytime soon.

Tap at PPOT. Pours a chill haze light orange. Sheety white lacing. Nose is hoppy, citrusy, pithy melon, sweat. Taste is dry, very nutty, meaty, lots of paper on the finish. Moving to extremely soapy. Hard to finish. My rating: 3.2 Fiancé rating: 3.6

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20 peteinSD (998) - San Diego, California, USA - OCT 7, 2012
Tap @ brewery. Clear, copperish color with a slick of white foam. Aroma is balanced hop bitterness, pine, and a clean dry malt backbone that is slighly like a pilsner. Taste is clean and fresh pine, hop bitterness, and bready malt. Clean and sharp mouthfeel. Ultra quaffable lager with excellent hop characteristics. Impressive beer.

Best lager ever.... Crisp and clean finish that you would expect from a lager, but pine and citrus hops make the foundation with a solid bitterness throughout.... Delicious, a lager for hopheads...
